Agree with Jyoti kapoor, This is one reason where you can not say your boss that i am going to attend and interview. you have to lie to your boss.

Yes M agreed with u choose the correct option to get informed or lie ..bcoz this will affect your next coming appraisals or next coming gud options as some changes in companies regulations like transfer or increment's or promotions , employee consistent part also examine by team or boss

If a person chases your Boss for payment, what does he do? Either he pays for the services undertaken or he would expect his sub-ordinate to lie that the Boss is not around! Since childhood, we the human beings have learnt the art of "telling lies" depending upon every situation! Hypothetical questions will only find hypothetical answers! If you want specific answer, you have to give specific situation!

I support your views Mr. Muralidharan. Yes! everybody does the same in today's life. There are some situations which can't be explained to the people whom you owe something! so we have to make excuses sometimes.

Its like, if you are not interested to tell anyone about something like job seeking, taking sudden leaves, moving early to home,..etc... you won't be interested to tell anyone the purpose. At that time obviously you will lie. it is not advised to tell the truth as well.. bcoz the truth may trigger another question which will irritate you... in case of official better tell the truth... Finally it is purely depends the person who is facing the difficulties to tell the truth or lie... :)

There should not be any greater moment for telling lies to your boss than this occasion.You have promised your family for an outing and leave is not coming easily.You can exercise this option.
