I mean we learned manythings in school, we had many subjects like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and others  but somewhat Physics finds a lot of relevance in today's marketing plan people, but we forgot all those things which we needed to keep in mind and take forward in future when we grow up as an adult.

And now we tend to attend all those seminars & read all those books on Marketing stuff and many things and talk as if we had no idea of what the person was telling in that seminar or what we are reading, he is just reminding you the stuff that you had already learned while you were as a kid and hence you were able to understand what the person was talking in the first place, but why people tend to forget these things, let us recollect some of the things which we learned in school and revisit those days where we had no idea how to use them but which is of relevance in todays time completely.

So, what do you think which are the terms we can implement in todays times interms of marketing which we learned in school as a kid??

Newton's Law of inertia

I still remember the Newton's law which is still of relevance and the 3 laws holds so good till today if one know's the 3 laws like law of inertia, law of acceleration, law of reaction.

First law which is law of inertia which tells us an object at rest tends to stay at rest and an object in motion tends to stay in motion. This law of inertia applies directly for me towards the word of mouth marketing because conversation at rest tends to stay at rest while conversation in action tends to stay in action. If a company does nothing to encourage people to talk, no one will talk.  So this is just one such example which I got to give people, Lets give those grey cells some work and go back and see what is that we can apply in today's marketing process which we learned in school as a kid.  Would like to see what others think on this people :)

Many times people may forget because many things that you learn aren’t put into practice. It’s true that there is an art & science to word of mouth marketing & marketing in general. Many things that you can relate to marketing have to be repetitive for some people to continuously use them. Sometimes small & micro companies have to keep things in motion and be as close to their target customer as possible.

When considering Newton’s laws, a company should do things to help their target customers become more engaged with their products or services & keep word-of-mouth marketing going. If looking for growth, a smaller or micro company has to learn how to interact & stay close with their target clients but grow at the same time. They have to do many things within their power to influence customers, achieve growth & maintain that proximity with them. Like with the law of acceleration more marketing is needed to generate conversation about the brand. When you closely look at physics & Newton's Laws, it can teach you a lot about marketing.

You have nicely compared the newtons law with business, well I agree with you Mr. Jayant Vishnu.

What is the input will be the out in business. In sales & marketing, the sales/marketing men should be able to sell themselves first with the customers, then only they will be able to sell the products.

Balancing of all market factors and consumer buying behaviors that will affect business is very important to be successful in business marketing.

I think Boyles law hold good for Target Sales & all..

According to this Law " PRESSURE IS INVERSELY PROPORTIONAL TO VOLUME" which holds good indicating...

If one got the Volume of Sales with Proper target your Pressure will be lower...

Practically, an effective marketing process comes closer to a self cascading network effect such as being popularly followed now a day by social networking sites.

Creating a buzz, sharing of viewpoints, searching a ventilator for self expression, looking out for opportunities of any sort, debating, ideating, acquiring and disseminating knowledge are all part of a network effect which ultimately translates into rolling effect with a chain reaction. You put an idea, from that idea another idea emerges, there is a rolling effect and a chain reaction.  You can find such study in sociology, microeconomics or political studies.

If you want an analogy from pure sciences, you can also compare it with a nuclear chain reaction, where one nuclear reaction causes an average of one or more nuclear reactions typically having a rolling effect of creating self propagating reactions and generating humongous energy in the process. Nuclear reaction can be fission of radioactive isotope like Uranium or fusion of light Hydrogen atoms, effect is the similar, release of massive energy.
