If someone asks me this I find it a bit difficult to answer in the first place, its like if you are making it up saying nonsense one will easily pick it up like you are not telling truth..and I really dont want to give out my genuine weakness point to someone whom I dont even know. So, this question is difficult for me to answer. Would like to know what others think what interview questions are the most difficult to answer? |

WEAKNESS IS THE PART OF SELF-INTRODUCTION AND GENERALLY EXPRESSED AT LAST.
Hi Folks!!!
I completely agree with Darshana's viewpoints.I also get in doldrums whenever an interviewer ask me about my weakness.
Furthermore,How can one tell about his/her weakness,I think others viz.Yours (parents, frndz, relatives, teachers) can easily tell you about your weakensss.
Thanks & Regards
Very truly

Yes. However, never fear to express the weaknesses and do not look for the consequences.

This is also a bit tricky to answer....how much should I ask for....If I am asking too much then the employers will think this person is asking too much which we cant afford and if I am quoting very less then I'll be at the loosing end, and if I am telling them according to the industry standards then both myself and employers will be in a fix to quote the salary. Hence in interview if they ask what is your salary requirements then it is a tricky one to answer.

Answer "As per your company norms. And I am sure that you would offer a very good salary as per industry norms".
If the interviewer persists mention in a lighthearted jovial manner : "I may expect 50 lakhs but you would offer only as per your company norms".
Question : "So would you go with whatever we offer?"
Ans : "If it is fair and meets my expectation decently then yes. I seek employment in your organization more for the passion I for the job that you offer me" (remember, you are only making a statement and not a commitment to join)
the reason this is very difficult, as every HR person makes up their mind in the very 1st 5 mins if they want you or not. So how do you justify your worthiness to a stranger, who is judging you almost immediately.

I think this is the challenging question to be faced in any interview and one has to be confident enough to prove the panel that you are the right person for the job. you need to be clear on your strengths as well as the requirements for the job, along with the culture of the new company etc.

However, I have never faced any interview for job yet but still I can guess that this would be the most challenging question for me to answer. Giving answer to it is not difficult thing but the difficult thing about this is to answer something which is different from all others and this thing is less likely to happen.Hardworking, loyal, dedicated etc. are some words which are to be avoided as these can be used by most of the candidates and this could make you stand with all other loosers. Something is to be spoken which is unique, something very genuine and different too. So what else can be a more challenging question from this one?

This is such a critical question to handle for most us in any situation. Most of us would switchover to a new job for the case of salary or designation or may some personal issues with manager or others. But no one is supposed to convey the truth in most of the situations as it would make a negative impression on us....

I would try to answer it like this :-
Answer : "For better prospects." or "In my current company, there is very limited opportunities for growth. I understand that your organization has very good grwoth opportunities for performing employees and hence am applying for a job out here"
Question : "So if you get a better opportunity while with our company, would leave this job too?"
Answer : "I am confident about my abilities and am sure that I would grow in your organization and hence would'nt make a hasty exit unless there is lack of scope for me to grow in your organization."
|

normally this seems very simple question by the interviewer but,i find it requires all your skills and vocabulary to answer as you has to know most of the details of that company, capacity to compare from other its competitors,if money is more then you have to justify your expected hike or if one is really need of job at any cost, one has to praise that company even it is not worthy in reality!

Yes, I support this question.
I think we all know our weaknesses - being human is the 1st one. we are mean selfish manipulating people. we all are. so i guess as an HR taking interviews, this is the worst question to ask. we are flawed.

When asked this question you dont know what goes against you!Since if its money they will think that someday will leave organisation if will get better offer of salary..is its other then they will think you can not face challenges!

This question is tricky as well as uncertain one. Sometimes interviewer likes your answer, while the same answer can spoil your chances of being selected. There is no hard and fast rule for this question. If you can catch interviewer attention this may become the reason for selection but the same answer can be a reason for rejection as well.

Everything about a candidate is already there in the resume and before calling a candidate for interview, one is expected to do your homework by going through it. Then on top of it - the first question asked is this. It not only sounds stupid and ridiculous but puts you off. Worst is that the same question is asked to even senior people. I can understand asking this to a junior person to check his flowof language and ability to speak fluently but not to a senior person !

Well, that puts a negative impact to answer that question, what is your greatest weakness?, For me I could answer that in plain and bold one, " I always do an improvement of myself when things seems gone to negativity".

If you crack interview and get selected you will always find that question were easy. But if you don't then have the feeling that the interview was difficult...

Self-portrayal exposes all your weaknesses in the first place. If not choreographed well, you are in for trouble!
