I think still the news paper holds forte for marketing people out there, and they know exactly the daily dose of news papers for people. People won't leave their house without reading their newspapers. And products are placed according to the news and occasions perfectly and that is the apt situation to engage a consumer with a brand. |

First of all we need to understand what type of products we have to sale. Secondly who and where our customers.And third what is right way to make brand awareness among them.And without product awareness you cant make reliable customer for your product. For Example when Maggie launch in India then launcher had Choose School for brand awareness, they had provided free sample to School children's because they know children will must taste this product and when Maggie cook by their mothers they also know.When Maggie reached targeted customers home then they start adv. in News papers because those days News paper are great media sources for more awareness. So Now these days news paper cannot create or make people reliable customers. This is only part of brand awareness and also in limited area.

I think brand promotion is all about creating the awareness of you brand and promoting benefits by understanding the individual needs with respect to there social environment. Its and always beneficial to advertise brand in news papers. Wht I feel is the brand promotion and advertisements should be according the to social and economical scenario.

If you are launching a new product provide the samples to the existing customers! Also we should have a data base of our customer including there time to time feedback but still depends on Industry as per much operation cost included!

Murali its good . But how fare u do go with these projects, since they are localized , time consuming , cost ridden and more importantly belong to a certain section of the society alone . The best theme to introduced a new brand is through direct selling door to door . For example Narasus Coffee has introduced Instant Coffee whose quality is at par with Nescafe and Bru but how many people know about it and even having known tried it . Try it today and if ur convinced join me in marketing the same , after all this is a small service we can render to our nation . Jai Hind.
