LIC Housing finance is having wide geographic reach and large client base. A very big financial PSU must be easily reach the banking space.
I Dont understand, why the proffesional company like ITC is not encashing the banking business. I Beeive ITC is a very beutifull and best brands. CAn catch up immediately.

I partly agree with you about LIC but for ITC their main line business of tobacco though growing but soon it may start decline. So they are busy in changing their core business to FMCG, Hotels, Paper and rural marketing. Once they are sure the house is in order they may go for banking since in order to create such huge infrastructure needs funds.

Jyoti along with LIC housing finance there are many groups who are in the race of acquiring banking license. Some of them are follows:- 1) IFCI 2) BAJAJ FINANCE 3) MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA 4) LIC HOUSING FINANCE 5) INDIABULLS FINANCE However, Indiabulls declined it but it will clear later on... |
