By Green , i mean companies that develop and service renewable energy products be it solar lighting, solar cells , or even using the waste sugarcane thrown besides sugarcane juice stalls !!! .There is enormous amount of business in this type of industry and we haven't even scratched the surface !! The world is begging for carbon credits and as India in the recession era bagged some huge profits by being focused , same can be achieved in this global warming era. Water harvesting ,re-cycling waste , bio-gas plants ( small one enough to power your gas at home ) and solar usage ( for water heating and electricity) will be the prime things needed in every household .We can be fully dependent on the muncipality for all this as most of the things are beyond their supply . The products and services innovative enough to even save /conserve energy will be like killer -apps of the web and will drive mass adoption .Start up's companies , NGO's etc.. have a great future in this direction . refer www.ideaforge.co.in |

A very thoughtful debate and quite good ideas posted here. Green product & service that's a need for today and Sharad also pointed out very well and infact I think not for small NGO's but if bigger MNC's can also make use of the rural people in any production/manufacturing unit that will be a win-win situation for both as company also get the resources on very low wages
I fully subscribe to this idea. Green Products and Services present developing countries to secure their future along with opening up big markets in developed economies. Value added products & Product Innovations in established product lines by virtue of their technically equipped, cost effective workforce can drive companies from emerging economies to global leadership. May be another Samsung is to be from India.

Like small NGO's and SME that encourage women force like housewives, widowed, low caste women, etc, to work like making embroidery, pickles, etc and there by earning profit along with the uplifment of the women power and utilisation of human resource in India. |
