When we are talking about growth and innovation, I cannot think of any other name besides the TATA's. They are into IT, Automobiles, Telecommunications & Internet, Steel and a number of other sectors as well. I believe that TATA's can be considered the BEST BRAND. |

The Question should be 'WHICH IS THE BEST BRAND' and NOT 'WHO'... Anyways... Reliance for ME as far as Growth is the Criteria & TATA when Reputation & overall Business Standing is concerned. 100+ YEARS is no mean achievement.
RELIANCE to BUSINESS... Is like SEHWAG to CRICKET... FAST & ACCURATE... while TATA is like TENDULKAR... Steady, Dependable & Solidly Performing since Years !

Dear Iyengar : I am one against your views . An organization should have multi face say they should be accountable for the social development and contribution they have made . HUL is one organization which has terribly failed. They had bought brands but never utilized them . They had bought workshops but never produced. They took over units but never retained the people . They mostly make their products through third party contracts and do not retain them for a long time . They sell their products through distributors who are paid a meagre so distributor lasts long making an exit licking their wounds . Mind what HUL makes is not of any hidden technology but primitive products . Why should Indians pay for their 80% overseas capital . While Indian population growth is a bane for all its a blessing for HUL . Do u still support this company who have no social obligation.

we are talking about brand so nothing compares with sony. having a class of product and the pull sony has created no brand can do that. hope all will agree on the topic as its a sony. |

If it is a quetion of best of the best then it is oviously SONY. Because the inovetion,service,internal work culture,promise to the soceity,global reace these all make the best band.Last but not least SONY always about ecological balance

who can recall any bran other than MAC when it comes to desgining softwares and user interfaces?
APPLE iPod changed the wey we carry music, videos, files, and other data.!

with expansion of times group from just a news paper provider it has been giving e-paper, e-data, directory , parallel electronic funtionaries,and has been growing in other sectors as well. it is a power ful brand and solid dependable image factor. it has a proactive media and has survived many storms.

I too feel that TATA ,undoubtedly, is one of the best brands available in india today but there is one more brand, IDEA, which has come a long way ( Read Idea's walk and talk , save tree campaigns )and has been successful in positioning itself differently from other telecommunication companies.So for me, IDEA takes the pie for being innovative in its approach towards brand building. |

RELIANCE just because of tenacity of Sri Dhirubai by reaching the pinnacle at his time & his sons reaching richest siblings in the world & not but the least for creating so much wealth for umpteen number of Indians with RELIANCE shares & making the share/stocks markets grow leaps & bounds.

TATA is the brand which scores on innovation and high growth factor.tata is brand of masses and classes. you have nano for commoners and jaguar for elite. you have salt,tea for all classes and trucks and buses to move the economy forward. the growth of brand tata under ratan has been phenomenon, it has entered every household,office with great respect.the kind of overseas acquisitions that tata has made in steel and automobile sector are the best in the world which have GIVEN A BIG FILLIP to brand TATA.

Very true and hence I belive TATA undoubtedly a "BRAND" - because it has revolutionalised our lives and also see what it has given back to the society in terms of charity and other philanthropic activities as well. I want to see the big BRANDS contributing more towards societies as the TATAs do.

Apple is currently the Best brand when it comes to innovation and growth. They are the trend setter . I mean how much populars were mp3 and music players were before ipod launched . Similary with iphone and ipad they have created a revolution in multitouch and touch screens phones.
Indian prestigious brads Like Tata and Reliance are great when it comes to contribute to the growth of the country but when it comes to innovation we seriously lack behind our peers in other part of the world

There is no second or third thought in my mind that TATA is the oldest & global business house which is the best brand & symbol of growth & innovation to any biz house. TATA by the name itself is an icon on a global platform. We are talking about a brand then let me ask my dear members to kindly pay some attention towards the list given by Sheetal for voting. Out of five given companies Sony is a Japan based, Times of India & Reliance is an Indian based, but still TATA rules the chart with the tag of oldest, globally accepted & Customer faithful group.Reliance may have grown out of the proportion but still TATA is a ready reckoner for all companies/groups grown in the recent decades. I will always thought of TATA being a group with a brand value which is globally accepted as far as growth & innovation is concerned. |
