If one is not willing to give then they won't . Here are these bunch of people who do a lot to creatively bend the rules to save taxes. Will they give away their wealth in charity just like that? No.. They would instead like to show how much have they gien and what are they doing.. and endorse their brand along with it.. |

I support your idea, & this idea should reach to those people who are capable of doing great things but hardly doing anything. Thanks for referral, Aarti.

I accept your views Ms.Aarti Gupta. They should have the mind to help others which is very rare and everybody can not, except a few in our society. At least the activities of CSR can be extended to provide for education and medical & health care purposes including up-lift of rural infrastructure.

Yeah it should come from within but problem somewhere lies within we as individual. Probably we dont want to share the money..Corporates throw parties give expensive gifts to their clients because they do get business from them but they dont want to shell out single penny for charity. Forget charity even they are not good paymasters to their drivers, peons etc.

As long as it is done out of their own initiative the expense does not add up to the total cost of its product or services rendered by them. Once the government makes it mandatory then the first thing they will do is to find ways to pass it on to the end user. Let the government do its work first (helping the poor and the needy instead of filling up their coffers) and then they can think of taxing others. If it becomes mandatory then even that burden comes on the Middle Class who ends up paying more on every product or service they choose.

Giving should be natural and silent, which, I believe, every enterpreneur in some form or the other is doing it! What you are seeing is a sheer ego-clash, nothing else! If Buffet, Bill Gates suggest something, why should they fall in line!

Corporate Social Responsibility should not be mandatory on companies. It should be only voluntary because they are not expected to do governmental jobs.

Typically the concept of CSR has touched the Indian CEO lately and most companies are focussed on bottomlines than on activities like CSR.

CSR has a long term objective in giving back to the society in whatever way society may be benefited. This is not true that all CEOs or companies are against CSR, but no institution or individual wants to contribute through any force- full statuary requirement.
CSR should be a voluntary clause without any fixed revenue contribution(currently 2 % of profit)and there should be a long term reward on companies contributing highly on their social parameters.
Contributions made by the companies on CSR issues should also be exempted on the same parameters as Charitable Institutions.
Government should also progressively define areas where such fund can also be used in setting up symbiotic institutions helping the industry and society in long term.

Guarantor is a person who takes guarantee that money will be repaid. So even if friendships may change he is legally bond to this. |
No we do not need change first. We need the implementation of laws first. Once they are implemented properly then we can think of change. How will change be helpful if pre-existing laws are also not implemented? |
It is not so simple to reduce inflation . It is in the hands of government and they should try to bring the inflation level down. Step one : say bye bye to black money. |
