Our execution teams of engineers & architects are intelligent & brilliant, but they are not willing to supervise the actual construction work & reason behind that they are only trained in theory & lack of practical experience. On most of the sites, newly joined fresh civil engineer is taking care of concre. Friends, please share your views/ideas on this. |

For this reason: Most of the noticeable structures appear photocopied at best.

I agree, But dont you have ever thought about wheather we have any trained work force like Plumber/ Electrician (ITI) in the Trade of Masonary / Shuttering. I feel More training is to be done at workers level as a Hands on Training.
Engineers also have to be trained to the Site Exposure. Most of Our engineers, they come out of College without any knowledge about execution.

contractors can't be blamed completely for this, its the Supervision that create such collapses.other wise a non compliance by contractor, how unseen and accepted by the Consultants and authorities!

This is Chalta hai Culture.Society does not giving respect to engineering Practice as required.A broker of land or flat gets 1000 times more renumeration than engineers.

Most of construction industry is running by non technical and un-experianced contractors. Even though few contractos are technical and experianced, they cannot survive in competion with these non technical contractos. Throat cut competition in the construction industry really damages quality of construction. |
