To ensure safety

idea posted by Anjali Sinha Construction-Heavy, Sobha Developers

We all need protection from tragedy due to fire, structural collapse and general deterioration in our homes, offices, schools, manufacturing facilities, stores or places of entertainment. So these codes provide safeguards and ensure uniformity in the construction industry. So every building thats being constructed should come under the building codes and standards failing which the government will not give you approval.....

India has IITS,NITS likewise so many bigger institution ,so many doctorate,M.E,M TECH ,BE ,BTECH engineers are coming from india, but compare to foreign studies we are lacking technics,So we have to do our day to day activities in a proper guidance.so have to follow this codes as a guide to avoid problems and to learn so many practices from this guide, bcoz especially civil engg is like a sea its vast,we cannot learn all those things but we can refer a idea by using this guide

Hai All,

I am quite surprised to see that you construction proffessionals are seeing only safety on building codes...There are thousnads of IS codes to follow especially in construction before safety comes into picture...like soil investigation...concrete mix design...etc etc...apart from all other construction trades like plumbing, fire fighting, HVAC...And even for camera related and photography there is more than 10 IS codes... The sign boards in road need to be as per IS code...

If any body wants I can send you atleast the list of IS codes I am having since it is not possible to send the set of IS codes as it is about 8GB..

Sorry friends...but thanks for the ideate

Building code is all about approved systems and procedures. The system should be well defined before doing a particular activity.
