After our PM returning from  a two-nation, three-summit tour, the PM told accompanying journalists, "India's greatest challenges are at home. Unlike China's rise, which possibly causes apprehensions, the world takes a benign view of India's growth. We need to take advantage of it, because we don't know how long this mood will last."  So why are we seeing the world's interest in India lately, and why do they want us to succeed than others?? Any thoughts on this people......

India the next super power

idea posted by Sonam Kapoor Software Developer, IBM

World over something like, India the next destination has become a common notion, and India is touted to be the next super power with the like of China, but India is better than China interms of culture and a much better friendly nation than others and our economy is also the most stable and growth chart is giving indications why more and more businesses are coming to India. Also India has the quality workforce that can handle anything. All these reasons and many more combined is making world's interest lie on India to succeed I guess...

Thanks for the referral Ms.Sonam Kapoor.

Unconditionally I am supporting your view. India is our country. Everybody should feel happy and proud that India the next SUPERPOWER, despite all other problems that can not be avoided since we have different type of people with different languages, religion, and regional characters. This is India, having UNITY AMONG DIVERSITY. Jai Hind

I think the whole contest is going some place else, I have stated my question in the right way I guess like why the world wants India to succeed.... and on the same lines i had given my idea of India becoming super power, but people are commenting altogether on different matter........let us understand why other nations are wanting to see India succeed on major fronts??

Becuse India is a growing market

idea posted by Abraham Paul Senior Telecom Consultant, FCOMNET- Future Groups

In the colonial days, it was for grabbing India's resources. Now every country is business oriented and in the look out for fresh markets. China and India with the slowly growing percapita income offer the biggest potentials. China being autocratic, it has moved on to export oriented economy and almost approaching self sufficiency and with its stringent economic policy, others cannot compete in pricing of products and therefore, has limited scope for imports and open market trade.

Pulled down by the inherent perils of "DEMOCRACY" acting heavily in the negative in progressive measures, India's potential towards self sufficiency and surplus for export is not taking of  and hence continues as a growing  open market for the developed countries. Therefore, the world really want only our maket  to grow, and not the India as whole.

If India grows, others expect to get shares

idea posted by ASOKE KUSARI Domestic Private Banking-Executive/Manager, A large leading PSU Bank - India

India is an old civilisation. She has :

-- Vast talent pool, here students grow with Science, Math & Computer skill

-- A big market with young consumers, people are tolerant and savings minded

-- A good percent of population speaks English equally

-- A multi-party democracy, (more or less) good administration. Middle class of this country want progress.

-- In India, business is done in 'ethical way' - only profit motives do not work here. Retrenchments and pink slips are rare.

-- People and Cos are not quarrelsome - does not run to courts on flimsy grounds

Unlike others, India wants to grow along with others. The nations across the globe expect to sell their products and services here, already some of them have made India their first or second preferred locations.

Yes I agree with Mr.Asoke. India a great country with good culture, civilisation and a vast talent pool. Above all India is a peace loving country thus accepted by everybody.

Our country with 100+ crores population with lot of young consumers is a very wide open market for everything.
