Through social media channels, companies provide prospective candidates a glass-door view into the company. They share information, giving candidates insights into company's values, culture and work environment, allowing them to make an informed choice. With this company's hope the familiarity candidates develop will help in faster on-boarding than usual...and it saves lot of time and employees can make an informed choice much better than ever before........ |

It saves cost of recruitment. Surety of candidates' credentials as the credibility of the person who is recommending is also at stake. The candidate will also value the job and perform effectively. The usual 'troubles' can be avoided.
Due to a number of fake CVs floating in the market and resume companies helping building CV to suit the position when the candidate is not adequately qualified, social networking websites help to check the candidate background and it is an alternative to the referral system.
As of now all most all the jobs are given through recommendation. The companies want to make sure about the prospective candidate regarding the ability and honesty of the candidate. Not a bad idea.

In my opinion the recruiters can get to know about the possible candidate without even contacting him from the views and opinions he expressed on different issues. This provides some insight into the personality and ability of expression of the candidate in addition to the basic information of the candidate.

In my opinion recruiters who opt social media networks for recruitment find it easier to know about the candidates. They can also know the thier interest and thier community and social engagements.

Real time Interactions.
|
|
Why do you need to work? You come across a stranger, with general interaction you get to know the History and Geography of the place and the person, so with so much of gossipmonging happening in the offices, you might as well look for an alternative opinion on place of work. Now with the concept of dangling carrots, most of the potential employee carry their work to place of living, So with so much of socialisation happening which has become an big fad in the corporate world so equally recruitment through social networking is getting more prominent, Mind you, ISRO is also looking for an destination to run their office. So, Too step makes it an ideal platform for any body to position themself in the virtual media. Thanks all lot for allowing me to express my views.

We don't have to pay if we hire thru' employee thru Social network
This is the hidden and root cause after Social Network Employment.
though there are agencies running on many social sites and trying to increase their network as well, but personal networking is still preferred because of the reason given above.

IT Companies in India suffer from the following problems: 1. Limited, Non-expanding Talent Pool which is not sufficient to meet the demand requirements 2. Growth Rate of the industry is unpredictable. It might experience either double/triple digit growth or could also slowdown drastically leading to layoffs. 3. Huge Attrition Rates in the range of 20% thereby putting a cost pressure on the companies both for recruitment and training of personnel. 4. Rising Fee being charged by HR Consultants for recruitment. 5. Fake CVs and lack of Background Checks 6. Deep Bench Strength leading to wastage of manpower and also affecting the morale of bench employees. In view of all these problems, it is a wise step on the part of the companies to use social networking sites for recruitment as it is cheap, allows background check, and could act as a 'Just in Time' solution to the problem of manpower shortage. |

Only few line i would like to share that company are preferring/looking the thing which should convinence, cost effective as well as time effective. As time is goning change and we are facing lot of new facilities, easiest way etc. Recruiter can judge more 50% or may be more than through online and now a days company are giving priority on recommendtion basis for the purpose of long term benefit.
The day will come in future that all recruitment may be through online social media, not need any personal interview...
