Today we can see a lot of deviation in the media & ad industry. Ads are not able to deliver the message they intend to. Many ads that are shown are not related to any feature or chracteristics of the product.

On the other hand people are accepting what the ads are showing without analysing it carefully. This way companies are taking advantage of the consumers.

For example: Ads of Minto Fresh, JK cement, AXE Deo, etc. are shown in such a way that they don't relate anything to the actual product. They only try to pull & fool the crowd.

So, why there is a total mismatch interms of Products & its Ads??

Confuse & Make Money

Today the companies are only running behind money. Who makes more money wins the race. Ads are made to attract the consumers & make them remember what the companies want them to.

It rarely matters whether the ads are related to the product or not!!!!

Exactly Ms.Sheetal Jadhav, For the shake of selling and making money, there are people doing business and this will not continue for long. How long they will cheat others and one day they will be locked.

Yes. As a customer, I get confused by the ads & due to which i think about such ads more & more . It is all about Confusing the customer & making millions.... or billions....

I would think you are right when you talk of irrelevence of the advt. story board, but the criteria is only visibility. but unfortunately subtle self demeaning messages age sent out.

The purpose of any AD is to attract the potential customer to it. touching the target segment's sensitive part is the core idea for any Ad. For people of other segments it may look and feel weird but if it touches the right chord of the arget segment, then that will be the success of the Ad campaign.

 

Several times a good catchy ad(as far as some segments are concerned (as far as some segments are concerned) fails that is because the the same may not have been catchy enough for the target segment. Also if finally there is a lot to be desired from the product then after the initial skimming , it may not be able to sustain how good and catchy the ad may be.

Currently, visibility and top of the mind recall in the mind of the customer are the most important factors for determining the effectiveness of an advertisement. This being the case, as long as this aspect is generated based on the ad, it has served its purpose. Sales will automatically be generated based on these factors.

If the product and the ad are related, then it is better, but it need not be in many cases. Many celebrities endorse various ads, but they may not use the products shown in these ads.....

I completely agree with Madam's point of view. Nowadays, companies are basically competing each other to out perform for creating a brand & brand builds with the companies strong & potential bottom line. Bottom line is something to measure companies brand & hold in the market. Followers of the bottom line create's a visibility by branding, advertising & marketing which actually differs with a real product.

My statement cum story to cut a short is to create a brand visibility is vital & visibility is due to the company's marketing which will differ with the real product & the outcome is left with the customer as he is the King in retail  segment which can judge a better deal.

Companies are looking for profit is not an uncommon mean. Because companies are profit making organizations. They are preparing their Ads based on proper market segmentation. Because focused marketing is more fruitful for companies now a days. That is why companies focus on customer oriented Ads rather than products.

These type of add r not related to the product but its related to the companies. these type of companies want their company name on the mind of consumers because they forcasting new brand as a company name so that if in future company launch any product. the company name is sufficiant.

EXPOSURE OF WOMEN

Today the Ad world is obsessed with exposure of women in all types of ads. even for the products for children the curves of women are exposed in bad test. The Ad-world wants to attract the customers by misleading ways without considering its relevance with the product. As you know the ads for Minto Fresh, AXE etc. even for baby products you will find women showing theirs curves. The companies do not mind a way to attract a customer for better profits. Shame on such Advertisersssssss

The 'consortium' of Brands, Ad Cos, copy-writers etc are just trying to fool us. Their  inherent message is : dont bother for quality and price of the merchandise advertised .. just follow what the "curve" is saying here .. !

Advertise is to get attention of consumer  Advertise does not mean always to show the product quality or use. That anyway customer know what is that product and how its used and wat benefit it have but advertise give the recall memory while you do selection at purchase

WITH REMOTE IN THE HANDS OF VIEWERS WHO ALWAYS WANT TO VIEW THE BEST, OWING TO AVAILABILITY OF SO MANY CHANNELS,TV ADVERTISING BECOMING MORE EXPENSIVE,ADVERTISERS WANT TO ATTRACT THE ATTENTION OF THE VIEWERS.MANY ADVERTISEMENTS AS YOU HAVE RIGHTLY POINTED OUT HAVE NO RELEVANCE TO THE PRODUCT.BETTER NOT TO TALK ABOUT AXE AD.THERE ARE OF COURSE GOOD QUALITY ADS THOUGH FEW IN NUMBER.TO QUOTE,2 TAMIL ACTORS ARE RECOMMENDING 2 JEWELLERS THOUGH JEWELERY IS ALMOST WORN EXCLUSIVELY BY WOMEN.

Today really company only interesting to make money they are don't care about quality/benifits etc.claim wrong benifit through mis match advertisement for exmp. Deodorant ad / fairness ad / shampoo ad & lots more. & also if some one gave quality /benefits etc but if don't gave any ad / media plan products not moov successfully in market.

There is a deliberate attempt to hype the quality of the product so that they can achieve their taget within the short span of time.They call it business stretagy.So finding a match between P and A is very difficult preposition.

Working in fools paradise wouldnt run the show for long..I'm a firm believer in product with strong features and relate it to consumers..Sumthing like Onida is doing nowdays..Tumko dekha toh yeh design aaya..features built with an eye on consumer..n an advertisement appealing to all ages..

AD is all about creating a brand awareness among target audiance.   Now in this competition of World of FMCG there are hundred's of AD's that are rolling in the channel and companies are trying to keep them self a stand out AD so that the target consumer/customer recognises them. Ex : Minto fresh the target cutomers are Yourth and the idea is it makes them so fresh that attract even the opposit sex.   Yes most of the companies are misutilizing this weapon and fooling consumers so the Ad counsil body should demand for at least 2 agencies reports which will support the message.

Have you seen the recent add of a shoe. Basically, the add is about a shoe. A woman wearing shoes (wearing a more than bikini and shorter than shorts) and the camera is focused on her hips and legs.  What is the meaning of this. How mismatch this add is.

 

One more add. This is an add about cement.  A woman coming out of water in swim suit.  From back ground voice says this is stronger than anything ???????

 

Why do we have to watch such vulgar and meaningless adds.
