will Chrome Os and Android ever merge ?

Google recently announced its plans to launch Chrome OS , an operating system based on its browser chrome which has speed, security and stability as its hallmarks.It is entirely built on open source technologies and uses a customized version of linux at its core.

Google rewally wants to make a huge impact on the netbook and laptops market with ts chrome os .

 

Also google has something for the mobile market as well.The Android platform ,an open source mobile operating system catered towards mobile phones.So a question now arises , will these two OS's ever merge ?Do we as users need devices to do different things or do ALL the things?

Any future combination of Chrome and Android could be aimed at a new type of device, according to this presentation screenshot

5th gen of Computing needs a re-think on what is a computer

Seriously , with better and faster internet speeds,more memory and performance of chips,and the overall user experience demands one thing today which is Speed .Computers unfortunatly have gone the reverse way and a re-think on how they work is needed.

Chrome OS will boost of a 7sec boot up time a java script engine V8 delivering 18x javascript performance  , and as it is a browser based OS ,no antivirus software slowing down  your system , just on the move computing and i believe this is really exciting. One can go on and on about describing the problems of computers of today and we do have temporary solutions but a complete re-think is somewhere missing down the line .And this is exactly what google is trying to do .
