Hi prasad, thanks for initiating. Cloud OS is the talk of the town recent days. Since it is completely based on web the chances of getting virus is more compared to the normal OS. So can anyone tell how me how protected is the cloud OS. So I wish it to be a virus free OS. Thanks...... |

i think cloud computing is totally free from virus and wants the facility for OS is make a new OS which has all the facility in all regards. there should not be any limitation in that unique kind of OS
now i found a biggest demerit in cloud computing that ie., if any time we work on cloud computing suddenly net goes down by any one mistake does all the work should close

Cloud computing is a great idea. It allows us to share software and hardware in a large network of computers like a server farm. But the chance of viruses spreading when multiple servers are connected with a high level of permissions like a cloud there are higher chances of visuses speading. But today we use a server with many clients. Viruses can spread in that network too. This is being takencare of by system administrators. This can be done in a similar way in cloud computing also. More administrators will be appointed! |

We hope to see protection of our Pass-word and vital data. A good 'security system' should be in place in Cloud. All basic softwares might be allowed to be insattled on Cloud. Hope Cloud will be platform independend |

Cloud OS is great concept as it frees us from OS updating, and other related problems.
DATA safety, backup will be major concerns for all.

As we know for the cloud based OS, there would be minimal software installed on the client machine, hence it is mostly possible to start-up the machine quickly without much delay. And the login authentication to this kind of OS would be like a single sign on to access our resource available in different clouds through internet or through cache data that had got downloaded in my local machine. |

If you do not store or process cardholder data in a public cloud, then it is possible to reach compliance with PCI-DSS. If you do store or process cardholder data in a public cloud, however, then it is my opinion that it would not be possible to currently achieve PCI-DSS compliance. You can achieve compliance if all you are doing is securely transmitting cardholder data over a public cloud (similar to the Internet today). |
