Yahoo recently has expressed interest in UID project and in that regard it can take Yahoo's help in getting user database...The UID project needs a huge database. It can use Yahoo's, expertise in handling huge amount of data. They can use Yahoo's huge user database for getting user information as till now yahoo was the no.1 email service provider in India...And what better place than a search engine, Similarly there is news that Google is also interested in UID project, so technologies which run on internet will really help with the data that one will have. |

The ideas were asked for "how other technologies can collaborate with UID to make it a success?". Except Sumitra, all others who have participated in this went on explaining how UID project will be of great benefit. I am surprised to see so many techies did not understand what was asked.
Any way, I agree with Sumitra, Yahoo, google and similar technologies which run on internet will help.

If we have a consolidated UID, there is no requirement left for Rashon cards, Voters card, Even Licence can be integrated.. , And identification of a person and his citizenship remains handy and explorable. Secret Agencies can run a lot better with this DB.. |

I agree with Satwinder that this will bring technological advancement and more jobs. All technologies related to Banking, Hospitals, Voting, etc can be merged with these.! great ideas.

When the unique identification authority comes to effect, The details of the individuals such as fingerprint,photos would be collected at their local places and stored. But it need to be connected to the main server which maintains the overall data of all the individuals. Its like taking packets of information from various places in india and connected and stored to a place. So the connectivity between these points place a major role and suitable technology should support either by means of direct wire connection or wireless |

UID can be used to integrate Pan no. DB with Banking industry to create a master database of anybody to trace the source of income, terrorists activites, fraud management, loan management, etc along with Taxing management..! |

Faster search, Preceision and long lasting chips along with the coordination between the government departments helps a lot. The unique identity with no hassles the dream that is gonna be true! The card vendors, electronic printers, designers(less influence on them), hand held device manufacturing units (we need lotta stuffs like that in the future), even the laptop manufacturers (with provision to read this card) will be benefited by this card. |
