KBC-5 season will start after 3 days and Sony entertainment has too much expectation for response of this show as well as TRP. rating. The show campaigning is already started on various theme and all campaigns are showing in different story, style and innovative way which is endorsed by Amitabh Bachhan.

About TRP:- If we talk about TRP, KBC-1 has got 14.1 avg. rating , KBC-2 has got 11.1, KBC-3 has got 6.8 rating which was very poor and at that time shahrukh khan was host of that season. But, now, Sony is feel that this time it will chance of break the record. On this time the way of branding is good and it has select the right time for launching.

Strategy and branding:- It has preferred right time for launching which is Independence Day as well as good opportunity for viewership on first day. Sponsors are ready for branding. Idea Cellular paid Rs.35 crore as telecom partner quiz show, Cadbury has paid Rs.25 crore presenting sponsor and other co-sponsor has paid between Rs.16-18 crore. Cadbury will get twice benefit as sponsor and Amitabh is also endorsed brand Cadbury dairy milk.

At present few reality show is going like X factor, Just dance, Entertainment ke liye kuch bhi karega, India's Got talent and up coming will KBC. From that X factor may be finished very soon. So, it can get good chance and hit show if people will like.

Yes, i totally agree with you..This is very smart business and not only for entry but just advertisement of question answer quiz , they are getting very good income. And all reality show are getting good income by attracting various ways.If they will not get income , how can they paid 70 crore (Appx.) per episode to Amitabh Bachhan ...

Virag, you don't understand this business.  Here is how they earn:

It is Regarding Kaun Banega Chorpati - 2(KBC 2) 
  
You all know it's a good business. But have you ever pondered... How Good?? 

Any guesses?? Let's see... 
  
Airtel is charging Rs. 6 per SMS sent for this contest. 

Assuming there are only 100 entries from say 10 cities of some 20 districts 
and 20 states... 

6(Rs/SMS) x 100(entries) x 10(cities) x 20(districts) x 20(states) = 
6 x 100 x 10 x 20 x 20 = Rs.24,00,000 
  
24 lakhs in 20 minutes. (People trying for the 2 lakhs cash prize) 
  
Imagine what if 1000 entries try out from 100 cities???? 

The figure simply grows by 2 more zeroes and yields a whopping 24 Crores!!!! 

And it does not stop there... 
  
In practice it could be another multiple of 100 or worst case a multiple of 
1000 on an average. 
  
In that case it is 24 x 100 crores earnings in just 20 minutes on every episode!!! 

And the prize money : mere 2 crore (and from whose pocket)

What about the Ad money ??? 

A rough annual profit calculation goes like this: 
  
2400 x 5 x 4) (episode/month) x 12 = 5,76,000 crores. 
  
Let even 50% get dissolved in taxes and other payments, still you will be 
left with (which includes even the meager 480 crores of prize money. 
i.e., if every episode bags 2 crore prize)! 

.......2,88,000  crores profit (only from SMS)
