Three Indian cities: Chennai, Bangalore and Ahmedabad are amongst the world's fastest-growing cities in the Forbes list. Most of the 'fastest-growing' in the world are mostly in the Asian continent. And four Chinese cities: Chengdu, Chongqing, Suzhou and Nanjing also found a place in list.

Ahmedabad, is defined as commercial hub in Gujarat and also one with the most business-friendly policies. The city's economy is growing at breakneck speed and it houses major chemicals and pharmaceuticals comapnies. Numerous foreign companies have set up bases in the city. Ahmedabad also boats of a thriving information technology industry.

Chennai's growth is defined as sensational in the recent years It is the major hub of automobile industry in India -- dubbed the Detroit of Asia. It also houses major electronics and telecommunications equipment firms. In recent times it has also seen a huge boost to its software services and hardware manufacturing sectors. The congestion in Bengaluru has led to many a company moving to Chennai thus providing it with a major growth impetus.

Bangalore is defined as the Silicon Valley of India. Hundreds of major IT corporations, both home-grown giants and multinational majors, have their headquarters in the city. It has the country's fourth fastest growing FMCG markets, and is home to thousands of millionaires.
Fast-growing cities make life better for citizens as they create good job opportunities and lucrative investment prospects for businesses and investors, as the demand for improved infrastructure and services increases.

Interestingly, the Forbes study does not include major recognized global metropolises like New York, London, Paris, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, Beijing, New Delhi, Sydney, Toronto, etc. The study also gives the miss to megacities like Mumbai and Mexico City.

The other cities includes: Santiago the capital of Chile, Raleigh-Durham the capital of North Carolina, Tel Aviv, Israel's second-largest city, Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, Hanoi the highest Human Development Index among the cities in Vietnam, Austin the capital of Texas, Oil rich Abu Dhabi, Campinas one of the richest Brazilian city, Melbourne is the capital of the Australian state of Victoria, Salt Lake City the capital of the U.S. state of Utah, Cape Town the second-most populous city in South Africa, and Canada's Calgary.

So, what do you think people, Can these cities match the global standards in coming days?? Share your views on this....

Can these cities match the global standards in coming days?? a good question. To reach global standards, meticulous planning and execution infrastructure requirements such as roads, sanitation, commutation, electricity, Efforts to decongest by encouraging satellite towns in outskirts. When cities are growing we cannot stop however we can reduce the pace by developing 2 tier cities, which helps in maintaining existing cities and reduce the vagaries to people.

Thanks for the sharing Ms.Sunita Mahapatra.
In my opinion it will take some time to reach the global standard as it requires development in certain infrastructure.

Dear Folks!!!

Its gud to know that the above triumvirate cities R in the list of world's fastest growing cities

Furthermore ,I also think that if a city grows it should grow completely thereby becoming a complete bustling city.

I also wish that other cities of our country should also start growing at a hasty pace in order to become a complete bustling city.

Thanks & Regards

Very truly

Hello Sunita, Yes. I also read this article in the newspaper. Certainly we should be proud of our development happening in our country. Regarding global standards, of course it will take some more time to achieve this. Nothing harm trying to achieve this earlier, provided everybody cooperate this includes government organization and public in general.
