we are going to get a good??? government by this election. What do you wish

1 peaceful, respectable, great heritage full, resourceful and good law and order in our country

2 or full of anarchy, opprtunist to rule this nation; which is full of intellectual and professional people like us

CHOICE IS YOURS.

If you really wish to work in this direction for option one, ask these two national parties Congress and BJP to join their hands for nations growth.

Write to  Mr L K Adwani and Rahul Gandhi's block and urge them to atleast think on this matter and work out a good solution for nation, keep away this nation from opprtunist.

Please do it; time is limited. Your single effort will have a peaceful next five years and will be able to see somthing great and concrete progress of this country.

Abraham Paul will help you in this. Dear paul, will you do it? I am sure.

Dear esteemd members, I am with Mr. Aras. Having the elections over, all of us who have faith in India's democratic functioning should come up and raise their voice in preventing the opportunists in the political arena hijack the Country' future. This election will be a turning point in Indian politics in which both BJP and Congress would be able to bag almost equal number of seats around 150 to 160, and will have to depend on other smaller National Parties and various regional parties. We will see lot of horse trading happening in the next 48 hours most of which will be towards endangering the democratic ethics. If it happens, we will have weak government with many PMs, Deputy PMs and panel of ministers in rotation during the tenure. If a third party concoction happens, we may see a new P.M and panel of Ministers in every six months. Also we will have dozens of PMs and hundreds of Ministers waiting. There will be a new policy also with every change of the bastion. If we look close, we have a solution to over come this danger. 1. It is high time for the National Parties to realize that a coalition with regional parties is neither worth for the party or for the nation. 2. Nobody seriously believes that BJP is a non-secular party; their stance of Hindutva during election time is nothing but just another temporary election propaganda gimmick to influence the vote bank of religiously sensitive lower sections in the majority community. Having the election over, BJP will quickly discard the Hindutva mask. 3. There cannot be two ways to progress. Both Congress and BJP have the same progressive out look to take the country forward, and the plans for that cannot be much different. Therefore, why we can’t have a coalition government of BJP and Congress Party? If old leaders in the parties are stumbling blocks, a change is needed there taking over by more pragmatic youngsters in these parties. "Change your rules or time will change you" Let not this country go to dogs for God sake. It is time, the sensible ones in these parties sit together keeping their petty political differences out and take a strong decision in the interest of the country. What we can do quickly is to send your opinions through different social networking and through whatever media possible, by sending posting, e-mails and SMS. Best Regards, Paul. PS. Those interesed may read my posting "A Bitter Pill for India Reprieve" in this space,(posted in five parts).

prior to bjp , the congress was ruling .
in 60 years we in jammu had a dilapidated single road.
vajpayee ( i am talking on professional terms) initiated the double road project.
bjp did better work than congress(upa).
but , surprisingly , bjp projected ram mandir and swiss bank as poll issues.
interestingly a farmer( rural voter) for him swiss bank would be another name of a hammer and he is used to seeing plenty of mandirs.
bjp never projected the work they had done , the defence preparedness they have improved., etc . , etc., etc,....

result : bjp lost
congress grass is too difficult to eliminate . may be the bjp shoould request the americans for a new variant of pesticides for vanquishing congress grass.

good luck bjp next time.
mitra , jaitley sahib are you listening

Hi,
I don't think the BJP & INC should get together. Politics confuses me?
Who is secular - the party divides the population through reservations or the one that talks of a uniform civil code? Is it those who demand and promote the idea of a dalit Muslim and a dalit Christan or who talks of privileges based on economic backwardness, those who promote & protect madarssas or those who intend to invest in basic education. I do not understand the logic behind having reservations in IIT's and IIM's when the SC/ST has no access to basic education. Are we being fooled through words and language - collateral damage, friendly fire ....(U R dead any way)
Who works for the am aadmi, those who invest in the roads under the Golden Quadrangle project or those who neglect roads and spend huge monies in airport upgradations.
Politics is beyond me. But it is better to have a chor and a daku at each other rether than with each other.

Congress and BJP working together is "Wishful Thinking" IMHO. Dont forget these are parties who have been arch rivals since time immemorial and have two distinct individualities. I would be sceptical and wary of seeing them as one.

The country is experiencing war like hysteria as this parties are trying to woo different allies. For alliances, there are no principles being followed by any national or regional party. It is like a casino where the winner takes all, shame on them. Hence, whichever formation seems closer to the magic number of 272 will attract more parties in the post-poll scenario to form the government. Indira Gandhi, introduce the word ‘secular’ to declare India a ‘socialist secular republic’. This word is now used only to distinguish Congress from the BJP. It has no other meaning. All the allies are interchangeable. I believe that the two national parties can sit back, bury their ego and combine to form a stable government which is needed at this juncture. The prime minister could be from the party that has the higher number and power can be equally shared. I feel the difference in the tally of the two parties will not be more than 15 to 20 seats.

I know it's a rarest possibility but for the sake of India's growth this two parties should join together.

Having a coalition of BJP and Congress sounds a good idea but it will not work, becoz nobody will be able to go beyond the question of who will be the next PM of India.
As they say too many cooks spoil the broth.
The philosophies and ideologies of the 2 parties are very different. It is not a question of who will achieve more or less.

Abraham I live in Mumbai. If the Catholics would not have their harvesting of souls, respect other religions and let them be, the BJP would not have grown as big as the Congress. But this relentless attack on 'Bloody Hindoos' as they are referred to by Catholics is causing Church attacks which is putting all communities even in Mumbai-etc at risk.I know Catholics will not understand because they drilled to convert or get rid of the rest. The Hindu will only respect other religions. Maybe they are looking at this respect, as a weakness but they are very very wrong.

hello Nitin ji, your idea is good but i feel these things/combinations should have taught by all voters before casting thier votes.now we have to simply watch and see all dramas that is going to take place.each politician will have his/her own interests rather than service to be rendered.things will not improve unless each elgible voter will made up his/her mind to VOTE and elect a good leader.

Good Lord! Why did we have elections at the first place? This should never happen. If Congress and BJP were to go hand in hand, India would collapse. Do you ever think why BJP goes secular after coming to power? Because they know, communal politics delivers but communal governance will uproot faith from common Indians. Similarly, Congress is no good till they know they don't have to sound communal like BJP. They are all opportunist. Let this be the test of their maturity. Politicians need to know the people they rule. If we will have them easy, common people like us will get to see extremism like Pakistan and Afganistan, regional rebellion like Srilanka, No faith in governance like Nepal, in India also. It is this diversification, that these politicians need to win before they make gov. It is good that regional representation will bargain in this scenario. You fail to understand, that they will have to reply to the people of their region. If they do not bargain with optimal profit to them as well as their region, they loose next time. Don't forget, we already dumped some of these politicians for good. example VP singh, Kalyan Singh, Arjun Singh, Tytler, . Mulayam, Lalu and the likes are in waiting. Thus, India should gain in the long run. I want them opportunist but no stupid to end their political career next time. If 60% of Indians have voted, we are not fools here. Primarily, we don't want unrest, Stock markets and 9% growth are secondary.

Both Congress and the BJP have run coalition governments. Both have been badgered by their allies. Both know what it feels to grin and bear it. So, the formula has re-emerged from this pain. I am convinced that this formula would work. Above all, it should be an overall national interest........

In my opinion, IDEOLOGY only crops up during election, and provides excuse parties to form (or break) alliance. During rule of 5 years, all parties look alike.
There is no such thing as "Party Ideology".

This is a good idea. I feel that this option will indeed be the best for the country (rather, the ‘least bad’). Lets be honest – there is really very little to choose between the BJP and congress. For all its mandir and uniform civil code talk, the BJP will really not implement 1% of what it claims. And the congress talks big about being ‘aam aadmi’ and ‘pro poor’, but they do precious little on the ground.

Let them come together and put up the most competent and capable people in ministerial posts. At least they will be free of those pesky petty coalition concerns. We have tried everything, let us try this as well.

This is a "Must Happen" idea. And this is crucial time to happen this.

For small, regional parties, that are woven around individual leaders and limited ideologies, 5 years without power is sufficient time to perish.

Nitin ji, a great thought but both parties have different ideolgies, different methods of planning and deciding. The Congress and the BJP have always been at loggerheads election after election, government after government. While the former calls the latter communal, the latter misses no opportunity to call the Congress pseudo secular. Each is at the head of an alliance formed with keeping the other out of power as one of its main aims.

Would 2 types of ideologies get together?
