For better sustaining the business process, only customer satisfaction is not important but what matters is the customer retentionas well. Both these processess can be achieved by mere quality product delivery and improved and efficient service. But it is not as easy, because of the presence of various obstacles tat hinder the pace of your quality product delivery and timely services. Things become more complicated when you are dealing with FMCG products, because of their daily need based demand and low shelf life span.
So there is a need of proper logistics and supplychain management system aided with highly integrated software tools. Such wre the issues that were addressed at the previous Efficient Conumer Response (ECR) Conference.which is a global movement in the FMCG industry with a focus on supply chain management.
There are lot of obstacles and bottle necks that hinder the smooth functioning in the delivery process in FMCG Retail
- Stocked inventories
- Poor Logistics
- pilferages and damaged consignments,
- Average stock out costs
- data sharing, product launches, inventory record accuracy
The various FMCG dealing organizations like HLL, Godrej, P&G, have come across various solutions and possible suggestions to solve that problem of inefficient inventory like; infrastructure optimising, sharing and outsourcing between companies, integrated sotware techniques etc. Now I am thinking of oher possible suggestions..............
