Father: I want you to marry a girl of my choice.

Son: I will chose my own bride

Father: But this girl is Bill Gate's daughter

Son: Well, in that case, it is okay.

Next day Father approaches Bill Gates

Father: I have a good husband for your daughter

Bill Gates: But my daughter is too young to marry

Father: But this young man is the Vice President of World Bank

Bill Gates: Oh, in that case, it is okay.

Father finally goes to meet the President of World Bank.

Father: I have a young man to be recommended as VP

President: But I already have more VPs than I need

Father: But this young man is Bill Gates Son-in-law

President: Ah, in that case, it is okay.

This is how business is done. This store is to tell that even if you have nothing, you can get anything. But your attitude and approach should be positive.

Joydeepji..Thank you. I have no children. I have brought up a girl and educated her. She is working for a US based company and stays with her parents. Visits me on weekends. She is planning to go to US for further studies and her parents are looking for a match. I have no role to play except to guide them and if necessary part-finance her trip to US/marriage I love speaking to youngsters and 75% of my friends are between 25-35 years. Since you are a nice hearted person I referred this article to you. Just enjoy. Dont read between the lines.

Vinay Kumar Ji.. This was posted nearly six months ago. Those days the Too Step was filled with heated debates and abuses. To cool the tempers, this Short Story was brought to the light from one of the mails sent to me. Anyway, thanks for your comment.

You have presented the current day trend, Murthy sir. Hurdles and barriers are parts of struggle, if one has a right attitude and positive approach, these hindrances are nothing but opportunities!

Dear Mr. Murthy,

After many days of hot topics and discussions, your cool "short story" is a good and enjoyable change.
Your next comment, "Just enjoy. Don't read between the lines" is still more wonderful.Because to me, just attitude, approach and "nothing" also cannot give everything for a good business.Am I wrong?
Please go on giving such good humors. Many thanks.

Murthy Garu,

In one of your post, I could only write (contribute) three words “I am Single”. Today some humour (sarcastic, leg pulling whatever), In your late 50’s definitely you can afford such short stories, as is said from the horses mouth.

My father has expired, he was 70 then, I understand you are looking for prospective father in law (bill gates) for your marriageable children, or may be contemplating the fact you did not reach the right “window” .

This is being dished out at toostep
