"They all were looking at me on the bed.

I went back to my bedroom.

"Am I dead??" I asked myself.

Where are my wife, my children, my mom-dad and friends?

I found them in the next room, all of them were crying... still trying to console each other.

My wife was crying... she was really looking sad.

My little kid was not sure what happened, but he was crying just coz his mom was sad.

How can I go without telling my kid that I really love him, I really do care for him. ??

How can I go without telling my wife that she is really most beautiful and most caring wife in this world..??

How can I go without telling my parents that I m ... just because of you??

How can I go without telling my friends that without them perhaps I would have done most of the wrong things in my life... thanks for being there always when I need them... and sorry for not being there when they really need me..

I can see a person standing in the corner and trying to hide his tears...

Ohh... he was once my best friend, but a small misunderstanding made us part, and we both have strong enough egos that kept us disconnected.

I went there.. And offered him my hand, "Dear friend...

I just want to say sorry for everything, we r still best friends, please forgive me."

No response from the other side, what the hell?? He is still preserving his ego, I am saying sorry... even then!!!

I really don't care for such people.

But one sec.... it seems he is not able to see me!!!! He did not see my extended hand.

My goodness... AM I REALLY DEAD???

I just sat down near ME; I also wanted to cry.

"OHH ALMIGHTY!!!! PLEASE JUST GIVE ME FEW MORE DAYS..."

I just wasn't to make my wife, my parents; my friends realize how much I love them.

My wife entered in the room, she looks beautiful.

"YOU R BEAUTIFUL" I shouted.

She didn't hear my words, in fact she never heard these words coz I never said this to her.

"GOD!!!!" I screamed... a little more time plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. .

I cried...

One more chance please... to hug my child, to make my mom smile just once, to make my dad proud of me at least for a moment, to say sorry to my friends for everything I have not given them, and to thank them for still being in my life....

Then I looked up and cried!!!!

I shouted....

"GOD!!!! ONE MORE CHANCE PLEASE!!!!"

"You shouted in your sleep," said my wife as she gently woke me up. "Did you have a nightmare?"

I was sleeping....

Ohh that was just a dream....

My wife was there... she can hear me...

This is the happiest moment of my life...

I hugged her and whispered... .. "U R THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AND CARING WIFE IN THIS UNIVERSE.... I REALLY LOVE U DEAR"

I can't understand the reason of the smile on her face with some tears in her eyes, still I m happy....

"THANK YOU GOD FOR THIS SECOND? CHANCE." "

MORAL: We cannot start again with "love all "as like Tennis Match; it's our life match..

SO, Now its not late.. lets forgot Egos, Past... and Xpress love to others... Be friendly..
Keep smiling... forever....

In this rat race of life,on occasions, it is a wonderful idea to pause for a while and to look back at yourself and to your near and dear ones.

Thanks to Paresh for reminding us the basic lessons and rituals of life.Reminiscence in deathbed should not be regretful.

This is very touching and made me low for a few seconds. But really a good one. I have no words to express myself now and silence is the only thing I know.

Retracing the past and clearing the mistakes is a penance that one should go through if offered that chance!! I completely believe in what Mr. Sunder has so adroitly pointed out. At the slightest opportunity we should make time for our closest and dearest ones. Spend quality time and see the happiness on their faces ... that is such an adremaline rush!!
Its a beautiful article my friend. Thanks.

Except for the last statement of your answer Mr. Sunder. You REGRET only when you realise the past and maybe a bit of present! You always AIM for a good future, dont we all?? But living the present in a correct manner ensures a good future and regretting deeds of the past releases the ghosts that haunt you akll the time! I am a firm believer of the continuance of justice administered to self because of PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE! As you sow so shall you reap! The old adage comes true again!

through this instance, you, my friend have brought out an important concern for the working male today. people today are so busy in their own professional lives that they are jst not able to give some valueable time to family and friends. ultimately in persuit of their organizational goals they are forgetting the most important things in life. this is what the working professionals today need to work on.
kudos!!! great job.....

Yes these days people are so busy that they do not give time to their families,friends..even they are sending their children to BOARDING SCHOOL(i am not against it but parents are forgetting to make contact with them, that make me upset). They are sending old parents to old age home.

We are so busy in life (WE THINK,WE ASSUME, but we are not) that we generally give a call to friends. Relations are important. We say "human beings are social animal" but now a days REALLY ARE WE??? I do not think so.

I like this article...We never try to say sorry when we are alive. Sometimes our EGO plays a role sometimes TIME (I think so) play a role.We never care for people around us. So it is the time to say sorry and care for others.

You have brought out one most important occurence on the death bed... Regret. The person dying usually has lot of regrets. I have seen at least ten people's death in close quarters. I saw only regrets and no satisfaction at the time of death. I took a oath that my death should not be one of regret. If I could achieve something, I should during my life time.

Most horrible is the behaviour of close relatives after death occurs. When the person was alive, that person would have been ill-treated. It could go to the extent of not spending enough to keep him alive also. After death, entire family will protect each other!! Their main focus will be as to how much they cared for the dead person; how much they spent; which specialist or superspecialist hospital they took him to... etc.

When will we all learn that there is nothing after death...No past life or future life. It is only the present which we should make more meaningful.
