Anand Kumar of Super 30, a beacon for poor children
IN THIS ERA of materialism, only a handful of people are doing yeoman’s service. Anand Kumar is one such shinning example.

People like Anand Kumar have been altering society with their noble work and contributions. In a country like India where corruption has percolated in every nook and corner of the country and system, hardly anybody bothers about people encountering poverty and discrimination. Anand Kumar, a young man from Bihar is a beacon for many talented students from economically weaker sections of the society who otherwise will fade away in poverty.

Kumar started Super 30 out of Patna in 2003 with the single objective to provide pre-entrance coaching to students from poverty ridden families for the prestigious IIT institutes. Thirty students from poor families are selected every year, they are provided rigorous coaching, boarding and lodging arrangements are also made.

Till now, Kumar’s Super 30 has produced 212 students for IITs. In all, 240 students have received coaching, the result speaks volume of this young man. Year 2008 to 2010 was a glorious period for the wonderful initiative of Kumar. During this period the institute provided 100 per cent result thrice on the trot. The magical touch came to end this year, however, the results were not bad, out of 30 students, 24 cleared the tough exam. An IPS officer, Abhiyananda and Kumar’s brother Pranav Kumar, are also playing commendable role in the success of Super 30.

Kumar’s initiative has been receiving accolades from not only across India but also from many prestigious organisations from overseas. Bihar government honoured Kumar with Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad Shiksha Puraskar in November 2010. Leading news magazine, Time Magazine selected Super 30 in the list of best of Asia in 2010. Newsweek Magazine listed the institute among the four innovative schools in the world. Leading educational institutes like IITs and IIMs had invited Kumar to deliver lecture on his success mantra.

Many coaching centres prepare children for IIT exams taking fat fees ranging from 1 lakh to 2 lakh. Kumar on the other hand takes nothing and shapes the lives of many underprivileged children, it’s amazing.
Most of the billionaires in our country are engaged in making money, living a lavish lifestyle and building castles. Shame on such sarcastic human being, they should learn from Anand.
Talent is natural and it can be found in a kid born in a billionaire family and also in a kid born in slum. A talented kid born in a financially sound family has absolute freedom to carve out his future as per his/her wish while a talented kid born in an underprivileged family fads away in oblivion.

Hats off to Anand for his illustrious initiative. Our country needs many more Anand to bring about a change in the lives of talented kids from downtrodden families.

In continution to earlier post,I ,would like ,further to say that to be a Bihari is
really i matter of great proud, provided we all do something unique like Anand Kr,who got the vision for the first time to get rid of poverty & to live gloriously, pride by imparting IIT COACHING TO THE DEPRIVED CLASS OF THE SOCIETY OF Bihar which is known as economically, educationally & socially backward.
But now under the political leadership & chiefministership of Vikas Purus Mr Nitish Kumar,Bihar is now heading towards developement allaround.
all developement minded people should comeforward to lend their cooperative hands to him to make Bihar a most developed state.
for this Bihar needs special status from central govt which will pave the way for starting industries by the big industrial houses enjoying tax-exemtion benefits which alone
Bihar cannot provide at it's own capacity.
moreso ,like anand many other anand have to come forward in different fields of society toenrich Bihar in every aspect, say ,education, economic developement, social, cultural & the others .
Honorable chief minister is required to invite all developement loving people to come forward to strenthen his hands.
we r looking forward & waiting for such opportunities to serve the people of Bihar for for so many times I have already offered myself for rendering my services to him as per his wisdom to utilise my experiences which I do possess in teaching, banking & sales tax admistrations,
thanks & regards.

Anand Kumar, a Bihari ,has proved by his self-less services in throwing light
amongst down-trodden class students in getting IIT coaching for becoming prestigeous Enginees to serve various business corporates/big enerprises, industries,
thus helping in augmenting production & generating income for becoming INDIA, a
rich & self-dependent country to be able to lead developing countries.
Mr ANAND should bear in his mind that poverty knows to caste & creed, rather all castes
poor students need such generous cooeration so as to make all such deprived students to be morally & economically strong to help other eligible deprived
economic assistance.
there should be no politics in this pious work of enlightening the needy students of Bihar & this should be gradully to take shape of all india level.
for this big corporate sectors/companies should come forward with packages of economic assistances as a philanthropic attitudes/feelings.Govt should also encourage such personalties by offering prestige as well as sound economic packages.
Mr Anand Kumar should also make a fervant appeal to both Biharis & other states
generous people to come forward to lend their services in different ways suited to them & the institute.
moreso, super 30 should be started in other district headquarters of Bihar to facilitate the students therof .
thanks & regards for offering opportunity to share our mutual ideas & feelings.
i will feel proud of involving myself in Bhagalpur BR of super 30 if possible
ad adminstring office affairs & enlighteing people to coperate psychologically, physically & monetarally, financially

We need a number of "Super Anand" in this country. "Selfless Service" in this modern society, where every piece of work is monetised, is the divine sent option for certain individuals among the crowd for others to emulate! The biggest question is: are we emulating them? On "Anand" in every village will transform the entire country! Charity begins at home - Mr. Rajiv Azad, I hope, has already lit the first candle of hope in this country by triggering many passionate individuals who are members of this toostep community!

No words to explain this Selfless service, Particularly, when the mass is running after millions to be amazed. Really, one has to appreciate his initiatives for the downtrodden. All the best to Mr. Anand Kumar & his accomplice. A similar institute is there in Chennai by Saidai Duraisamy. But, I think it is not focusing purely on the poverty . It is on large interest to guys interested in IAS & IPS Examn.
Thanks for referral Mr. Janaki.
