Every time I go to my favorite mall I always find trade show exhibits showing different kind of products or services. Some showcases products that are all made locally. Other showcases techie products like cell phones and stuffs alike. While others, endorse their services like flight booking and Broadband connections.

However, majority of the exhibits I came upon showcases house products like table covers and table cloths. Kitchen appliances like tables, spoons, forks etc. Often times they even sell kitchen sinks and refrigerators. Trade show exhibits really is helpful for the companies to showcase their products to different types of clients.

The biggest, and only real, reason you should go to a trade show is for business development.

You need to turn into "Tradeshow Man", willing to talk to anybody, relentlessly pimping your schtuff, acquiring contacts, and making industry friends that will last the rest of your career.

Before you go, make every attempt to get a meeting with people that you think can help you either make or sell your game.

Now coming to job fair, If you are new to the industry and simply looking to get your foot in the door, a job fair might be worth your time.  You'll gain familiarity with the IT recruiting process and the way companies filter candidates.

Now what i suggest is one shuld follow a step by step approach to get maximum from a trade show is one should be more prepared interms of their products, what are to be displayed. Where and in what fashion.

Same can be said about the job fair too, the difference here is there is no buying and selling.

Definitely they are worth attending. I have organised a few myself. So I can say it very easily. You should study the industry trends. These fairs are as effective as campus placements are.

Job Fairs also enlighten the aspirant about the wide range of twists and turns a person can take in career. It also brings to focus the competition that is building up every year regardless of the vast job opportunities that are opening up.
