At last all will be finished, then why so constant hard effort for attainment of consciousness?

I have submitted your question before most venerable MahaManas, here is his answer–
“It is true that one time all will be finished. But that is a happening of very far-off future. Keep in your mind another truth with it, whatever is happing here, all are predestined. Therefore, whatever may happen in future – lose or profit whatever may be or not, now you have to do your work of this time, I mean– you must have to do–. It is Predestined, you are bound to do your duties. Even though, your thought– your say also predestined like all other, like a movies.”

It is a spiritual question! 
After deep thinking it will be clear, in fact, ultimately there is no profit –no loss. All are nothing but Maya. 
From the view-point of reality, creatures are being compelled to enjoy, –to suffer, –to do work –to desire, predestined but automatically, being the part of worldly system. No one has ability to escape from this stream of events of this worldly system. 
Until we would be free from Maya (illusion), we have to suffer and enjoy as like animated plaything puppet.  

Yes, all that exists, one day, ceases to exist because nothing is permanent and nothing has ever been. So, what is the purpose of life? Remember, it takes several cycles of birth to get something precious - a human life. But again, when one day, the world ceases to exist, what purpose is it? There is a purpose. God has come down in several forms to remind man that attainment of the ultimate will help man to detach himself from the cycle of birth and death. So that, he can no more experience sadness or happiness, but BLISS. That is self-consciousness in its real form.

Meaning: Do your duty and be detached from its outcome, do not be driven by the end product, enjoy the process of getting there.  

you are right .... at last all this creation will be destroy, why people struggling for attainment of consciousness, as a human every one is having aspiration to reach highest peak in life, keep on satisfying the needs hierarchical needs. everybody wants to make a significant remark in the society. so to achieve that goal they need have sense of self-hood & executive control system of the mind.

This is a selfish thought. There is a reason behind everyone's life. And the common reason for everyone's birth is CONTRIBUTION. You are here in this world facilitate the future generation and your prior generation( Parents). Take care of the previous generation and Facilitate the Future generation. If you think that one day you would die, so why so much of pain has to be taken, I can only say that it is a selfish and greedy thought.

I have seen enough death.  At least eight people, when they died, their own children were not with them but I was.  I could only see regret at the time of their death.  They then felt loss of opportunity.  They felt they had unfinished business.  
One person, particularly was always fond of his Son.  He neglected his daughter.  When he died, he was only 47 years.  His last words were : "Sham, take care of my daughter".  
It is usually on death bed, realisation of life comes up. If they had not done what they were supposed to do, then they die regretfully.  
I am always conscious of such a moment in life.  I have been striving to make my life meaningful so that I do not regret on my death bed.  
My suggestion to you all is that you do not waste your life.  Philosophy is fine.  But there are always to sides to any argument.  Our own ancient texts argue both cases.  One needs to remain conscientious.  One can not wish life away.  All the best. 

The pain, sufferings, problems and finding answers to problems are the ways to purify the soul to the final journey to reach its final destination.

Dear Manorama, are you suffering from pessimism? Why you are focusing way too much on something which is beyond your and our prerogative? Many a time I do come across circumstances, mysteries, queries akin to yours, but don't plunge into gloom. The epic, Geeta has answer to many a issue. This world is a beautiful place to live in and life is a beautiful gift to cherish as long as the last breath is there in the body. Justify your birth, doing some noble, pious, deeds. Kar ke dekho acha lage ga. Kabhi muskaan lake dekho ki c bheek mangtee ladki ke chehre par, kabhi ki c bujurg gareeb ki help kar ke dekho acha lage ga.......Kabhi blood donate kar ke dekho, kabhi accident main injured ko hospital le ja kar dekho acha la ge ga. Don't emphasize on future of universe, earth, be real, be a human being first.......Take pain in reading it.

yes all will be finished but not consciousness that is why we must become aware of it and be conscious when end comes of body and consciousness changes into new dimension .
