PARAMOUNT AIRWAYS is a regional arlines from Madurai. THe promoter is from PARAMOUNT MILLS having a turnover of 1000 cr & is an Export oriented unit. THe promoter had done some serious research on the indian aviation industry before taking a plunge in it. The research had shown that many travellers can be categorised into two ; ones who fly the low cost no frills carrier & second who fly luxury class. luxury class travellers are usually corporate executives & rich people. Though majority of the industry operates in low cost fares... the travellers do not mind upgrading to luxury airlines provided the difference in ticket fares does not exceed Rs 500. Also smaller aircraft attract lower ground duty & taxing fees. Smaller aircraft also guarantees maximum occupancy levels. PARAMOUNT went ahead & bought EMBRAER jets that operate on fly by aire technology, has huge effeciency & lower maintenence levels & can fly long disances. ( Leasing old aircraft would had incresed the maintenance & servicing costs). Care was taken to ensure that the ticket prices are comparable with low cost carriers and that too with full service. wherein all other carriers were advertising on the likes of Re 1 fare, PARAMOUNT conveyed the idea of business class travel ( wider seats, more leg room, sumptious food , excellent support services) at low cost. To fuel its expansion during the recession it reoriented its planes from operating on lower income to those of high income levels.

Many other brands have chipped in & gone ahead to further segment the market. e.g. more battery life, speaker phone, 3 SIM cards .. & all these at very competitive price. Bigger players like samsung, videocon etc have also entered with economicla phones. |
The reality is contrary to what is being depicted in promos. The branches never respond to any issue & the call centre service is PATHETIC. The bank has gone ahead & provided credit cards/finance etc to all Tom Dick & Harry. This might show good on... |
Auto companies are increasingly becoming aware that the service will drive their profitability. Importance is now being given to the service infrastructure, manpower & process. CSI's figures are becoming imporatnt tool in planning. |
