Hi Friends
Based on request from few of my peers, am putting across my thougths on best practices in IT Project Management. I have broken down into various parts. In this part, am covering the PRoject Scope.
Project Scope
-Define the problem
-Establish the Goals
- Develop the objectives
- Define the SCope
- Write SOW
- Statement of Work
-Project Title
-Goal Statement
-Objectives
-Deliverables
-Resources Requirements
-Schedule Summary
- Evaluating Options-Developing Paths
- Build or Buy
- Contract or Purchase
- Schedule vs Cost
- Deadline vs Scope
- Temporary vs Direct Personel
Once we have answer (taken care) to above points, the scope is define and the boundaries and expectation defined....This is just a starting for a simple project, there will be many more points, as we take up comple, mutliple Projects, mutliple locations, multiple implementations, etc....
