Business Etiquettes and Manners-
Dress- Dress conservatively, well fitting, cleaned & pressed, polished shoes. No excess jewelry, tight or revealing cloths, strong perfumes.
Communication- Reply mails within one or two days. Be concise, respond likewise, follow spelling and grammar. Prefer lowercase, avoid abbreviations.
Parties- Smile, make eye contact, break out comfort zone and go out of your circle. Introduce yourself first, keep business cards ready, do not criticize.
Phone calls- Call during business hours preferably, ask if it is good time to talk. Call back the missed calls immediately, be concise, use vibration mode when needed.
Office- Be polite, courteous, respectful, do not pilfer credit for someone else’s work to sustain their respect and trust on you. Do not blame others when you fail.
Manners- First 15 seconds of meeting with new person make your impression, so be well groomed with your hairs, nails and shave. Do not make-up or comb in public. No nose, ear or tooth picking in public. Never fail to say, ‘please’, ‘thanks’, ‘sorry’, as and when required. Do not be in centre of the way, stairs, street, corridor or sofa etc.
