Hi All

I think "Cloud" is another buzz word that articulate virtualised infrastructure  In that sense, yes, it is already hear and it certainly is the future of IT infrastructure.  

However, the thinking that there is going to be a cloud that gives us compute capability of any kind can be too premature.  Enterprises still need to setup the cloud, develop/maintain applications and do all that is needed for a typical data center.  The aspect of IT design, development & maintenance is not going to be any easy. It is only going to be more complex, but more efficient and cost effective.

Cloud computing is the dynamic datacenter :) Cloud computing can be provided using an enterprise datacenter’s own servers, or it can be provided by a cloud provider that takes all of the capital risk of owning the infrastructure. I believe private clouds will take over and it will be managed by a company’s own IT administrator. Companies will also prefer hybrid clouds which combines both public and private cloud models which may be used to handle planned workload spikes, or storage clouds configuration.

Hi...

In my opinion cloud computing might be more accurately described as "sky computing," with many isolated clouds of services which IT customers must plug into individually. That’s exactly right what you said…would love to hear more technical recommendations from you on how one should go head and adopt cloud.......
