Here are some interesting facts regarding the much highlighted Copenhagen Summit...

Green summit? 1200 limos, 140 private planes

According to the organisers, the eleven-day meet, including the participants’ travel, will create a total of 41,000 tonnes of "CO² equivalent", equal to the amount produced over the same period by a city the size of Middlesbrough.

More than 1,200 limousines will grace the city's streets as 98 world leaders talk about how to save the planet. Most of the stretched vehicles have been driven hundreds of miles from Germany and Sweden. Last week, France ordered an extra 42 of them. Only five of the limos are hybrid, the rest are petrol and diesel.

Among the personal jets will be Air Force One. US president Barack Obama’s £180,000 limousine, known as "The Beast", will arrive on a separate flight with a fleet of decoy helicopters, up to 500 security staff, six doctors, two chefs and his personal Black Berry handler.

Are they really talking about going Green and Carbon Emissions???

shikha, I totally agree with your point of view and concern but then just think of the people taking part in the summit. they are all WHO's WHO of the world. So considering safety concerns we can neglect those points mentioned. And also as mentioned by darshil, we should be happy that now people have started taking notice and have come up togather to take actions, so in that view we can neglect or ignore such incidents..
But then I will also agree that they should think of something green for future meets ( which I hope will happen ).

Guys I totally agree that it is not going to happen in one day.............but when u r representing green revolution as an ambassador for the betterment of the environment you should atleast take the initiatives of implementing it by forgetting your lavish lives for one day and set an example for the others. SO the information shared by Shikha is in the right direction. Thanks for the information Shikha

What is happening is good and a little more safety concerns will make things easy. Why to introduce other distracting factors here?
We cannot live with power cuts though there is a lot we need to do. Nuclear power is the answer and till when we do not develop an alternative to this we just cannot help it.
