We all know about the significance of corporate communication and good corporate communication skills are indespensible for everyone who works in any organisation or it is important even if he is not working at all. Why we see corporate communication differently from communication is that when it comes to corporate communication, the bad communication will misfire or can have disastraous consequences. If we address a letter to our friend, it is a communication, but, still, your friend may not think bad even if your language is bad or manner of communication is not good. But, it is certainly not the case with corporate communication.

When it comes to corporate communication, one must be careful as to what to say, what not to say, being polite, using soft language, ensuring the continuance of healthy relations and conveying what one wants to convey by adhering to all those things.

Assuming a case that a sub-contractor wants to allege something against the contractor in the course of their business relation, the same can be as follows:

"Dear sir,

         At the outset, I must place my appreciation upon you and your team for co-ordinating and co-operating with us. To be frank, without your co-ordination and co-operation and even guidance, we could not have achieved the targets.

         We hope that we will be able to complete our part of contract work with you smoothly and we can be doing many more contracts or ventures like this future.

         However, our management team, which oversees the progress of the work keeping in view the clauses in our sub-contract agreement, noticed that your people concerned didn't give the required information what they get from the department and there was a delay in passing on the information and it caused inconvenience for us. We are aware of the requirements to be compliedwith with the PWD department and if the work is not as per the specification, we both have to suffer.

         Assuring that we will complete our part of the contract as per the terms and conditions contained in the sub-contract.

                                                                                                                                                                                          Thanking you,      "

         If one sees the above model letter addressed by a sub-contractor to the main contractor, one can notice that the sub-contractor is polite, appreciating the contractor first, making the point without causing any hurt and finally showing the sencerity that he will complete the work. When this sort of letter is to be interpreted, it is very difficult to draw a conclusion, but, in the corporate world, one must be careful while communicating things and especially written communication.

          As such, one has to keep in mind the following points for effective written corporate communication.

                         1.  The communication can be formal to the extent possible.

                         2.  There should be due appreciation.

                         3. Should not refer various details which are not necessary in the context.

                         4. Must politely convey the required thing and it should cause any hurt.

                         5. Finally one can express his grattitude and may also show some sort of sencerity.

                In general, the person making any written communication must study the background of the subject in detail, must have the knowledge about the subject and good general knowledge helps ofcourse.

Every corporate communication must be targeted to the point (need of writing the letter) in a style suggested by Mr. Durgarao herewith. As exact vocabulary you choose with related references as you come closer to the perfection of your purpose/need of that corporate communication..... so take care and enjoy with proper communication...

communication is gradable . Instructional communication at various levels is followed everywherefrom top to bottom . 
The levels become the media for dispersion , grapevine , media managemnt .

A good communication among every employee is very much necessary in a corporate life. One of the main pillars of success behind na company is a successful communication failing which, many a times proper news doesn't reach the relevant employee which effects the overall performance of the organisation. Nice article.

Just to add two bits from my side:

1. One thing which we often miss in our communication is the CLARITY of actionable/next-step from the receiver and an estimated DATE by which the action must be taken.

2.If the actionables/next-steps are more than one, it serves good to serve that information in a tabular form.
you may headers like : actionable description, owner, performer, due date etc.
