It has been analysed in "The Economist", that the current and last few months losses in the Equities Market throughout the Globe could also be because of too much dependance of the Traders on Software which could not swing more than 3% from the mean either way.
So their predictions most of the times mis-matched the market and over reliance on the software muted the response of the Traders to
"day to day volatilities and market realities".
In investments as well as in business it is very essential to use your own Common Sense and also to know the assumptions inherent behind a software model before we start relying 100% for forecasting to BUY/SELL
