An accepted definition of design is: the act of conceiving and planning the structure and parameter values of a system, device, process or even works of art. Normally, defining the scope of the project is a subject that the relevant authorities of a company must initiate.

Concerned with chemical process engineering as we are in this forum, basic design would mainly include gathering of sufficient information, and is a preliminary time-limited step in a project that generally ends with an economic feasibility analysis to show its relative advantage or disadvantage, be it research work for a new chemical, a new process, the study of erecting a new plant, a plant expansion, equipment replacement, etc. The amount of process engineering involved depends on the scope of the project.

Detail engineering - may need the help of the process engineer, for example, in cases where a HAZOP review may be carried out. So, the process engineer is not only in charge of the basic design after all, her/his reponsibilities are spread over both stages, the basic and the detail design. Both stages may be coordinated by a project manager himself/herself answering to the job-commissioning authority

DETAILED ENGINEERING

Industrial manufacturing needs require flexibility, and no two companies have the same requirements. Adapting manufacturing processes for new products, maintaining or replacing aging equipment, and contending with changing customer needs require a great deal of experience and an unwavering dedication to the project’s success.

Whether you need specialized engineering expertise or turn-key solutions, Technical Associates provides the appropriate level of technical expertise in a variety of disciplines including:

        MECHANICAL/PIPING

        PROCESS

        ELECTRIAL/POWER&CONTROLS/INSTRUMENTATION/ AUTOMATION

        CIVIL/STRUCTURAL/ARCHITECT

        PACKAGING

Technical Associates uses the latest computer technology for design, networking, and project control. In addition to the traditional engineering disciplines, we offer systems integration, neural networks, simulation, process optimization, and machine design.

Clients recognize Technical Associates’ success in helping the customers address their business objectives and the ability to provide exceptional engineering solutions to meet their manufacturing challenges.

CIVIL/STRUCTURAL/ ARICHITECT

Changing industrial manufacturing needs often require updating existing operations or building new plants.  Whether you are modernizing an existing facility to install new equipment or building a plant from the ground up, it is critical that all structural specifications are accurate and developed according to the latest local and national building codes.

Technical Associates provides engineering for structural design projects ranging from commercial to industrial, institutional, manufacturing, and chemical process installations.  From project design, cost estimating, and project coordination to design modifications for various chemical and manufacturing facilities, engineering teams of highly skilled professionals have the experience needed to manage every phase of the structural design and construction process.

  • Product manufacturing lines
  • Roof load studies and analysis
  • Equipment foundations and access platforms
  • Conveyor systems and supports
  • Steam line analysis and support design
  • Rigid frame modifications for steel and concrete frames

In addition,

  • Construction bid document review
  • Structural steel shop drawings
  • Site work and inspections
  • Foundations
  • Equipment and utility supports
  • Vibration analysis
  • Sewage treatment
  • Evaluation of existing structures

THERMAL PACKAGING ENGINEERING

Packaging is a vital component in delivering your product to consumers.  Knowing how to develop the right packaging, using the best materials and most effective design, and employing the most cost-effective methods of storage and delivery are key to the success of any company.

From designing the container through the logistics of storage and delivery, Technical Associates delivers efficient, cost-effective solutions to meet their packaging needs.

  • Reduce packaging costs through a wide range of packaging solutions including form, fill, and seal; stretch-wrapping; and skin packaging
  • Implement new product packages using the latest in packaging design and materials, implementing environmentally- friendly packaging when possible
  • Improve production efficiencies through facilities layout and design improvements ranging from case packing to Automated Guided Vehicles, robotics, high-speed packaging and conveying systems, palletizing, and package handling systems.
  • Optimize distribution methods with modern data collection tools, automated identifica tion systems, heavyweight and specialized freight systems, dimming and scanning, and high-tech weighing systems.

The difference between whole current meter and CT meter is whole current meter is without current transformer and the CT meter is with current transformer (CT).
Whole current meter will measure the actual current directly without using the transformer. CT meter will have current transformer to reduce the high current to low current and the meter connected to CT will give the reduce current reading equivalent...
