Hi, in my opinion, the very first thing that you need to determine who your customers are where to find them. Next, you need to understand the best way to acquire the customer either through pull strategy (attracting the customers for your services) or Push Strategy (Pushing them and convincing them for your product/services). Pull strategy is often adapted to acquire B2B clients where a project net worth is very high. If you wish to pull your customers, you need to give them a very compelling reason to be interested in your services and post you an inquiry. This does not mean that you lower the selling price of your product/service, its more about hitting the right spot and identifying what your client is precisely looking for. Converting this type of lead is often easier than the push strategy as prospect client already knows what to expect from you.

Lead can be generated through following medium:

  • Google Adword campaigns
  • Banner advertisements on websites that complement service offered by you
  • E-mail marketing / Database marketing
  • Magazine/Newspaper adverts
  • Classified

The above leads your prospect either to give you a call or visit your website and post an inquiry through a contact form.

The critical aspect in the pull strategy is effective follow-up with the client. If you fail to follow-up properly than you are probably missing the opportunity and increasing the cost of customer acquisition.

I hope the above answer helped you…Let me know if want me to talk about it more..Thanks

Hi Amit, Don’t you think you are being a ambiguous by saying this > “I think best way for attract customers are by being every where, make they know you still exist, this can be done by putting banners, symbols etc.. every where.”

Secondly, perception plays role in setting expectation not buying. Correct me if I am wrong...Thanks

Hi,
I think best way for attract customers are by being every where, make they know you still exist, this can be done by putting banners, symbols etc.. every where.

We all know customer perception plays a major role in buying, and when one customer sees a particular brand every where his perception becomes reality,
Hi Amit,

I completely agree with what you say but rather than fall into the catch-all flaw of a single generic dempgraphic profile, a better methodology is persona marketing. A persona is a fictional customer that is an archetype of each of your customer setments who share similar attitude and goals. Its more than 'Who they are', 'what they do', etc...

Thanks for the comments...I Appreciate that.

Knowing your customers needs is at the centre of every successful business, but how wil you determine who your customers are is much more important.

Why do your customer needs you ???
Every business needs a reason to sells and a reason for their customers to buy from them. THis is called USP. Your USP can change as your business or your market changes.

what you need to know about your customers ?
Who they are
What they do
Why they buy
When they buy
How they buy
How much money they have
What makes them feel good about buying
What they expect of you
What they think about you
What they think about your competitors

Understand and finding out this lead you to your customers...
