Where there is a will there is a way. Tendency to give up easily while accosted with a challenge is very common.
Often problems we face look insurmountable albeit if we keep an optimistic outlook, shirk laid down attitude, at times think beyond books and act by making judicious use of our senses in positive frame of mind there always exist a possibility that solutions may emerge naturally and trivially.
More often, sagacious application of mind is even more potent and cogent rather than putting in immense hard work without much application of mind.
In order to substantiate an efficient and effective tactical approach to problem solving, i put forward two inspiring tales for your perusal.
Once, a king, in process of selecting heir for his throne, presented a problem to his two sons. They were assigned task to collect morning dew from a garden in earthen pitchers in a fixed allocated time. One who collected more quantity of dewy water inside the earthen pitcher would win the contest and be the heir to the king’s throne.
Apart from providing them the earthen pitchers, they were also provided with their breakfast in metallic containers. On reaching the garden, the elder son, not intending to waste any time, started immediately with cupping his hands for dew collection and swiftly putting it into his earthen container. Dewy water instantly seeped into pores of the earthen pitcher and at the end of stipulated time, the net result was null collection of dewy water.
On the hand, the younger son was relaxed. He untied his turban and spread it over wet grass. Under a shady tree, he coolly began eating his breakfast. After eating his breakfast, he picked up his turban, twirled the dewy water from his turban into his empty metallic breakfast container and finally put the container inside the earthen pitcher.
Needless to say, by virtue of winning the contest owing to his presence of mind, the king’s younger son was selected to be heir to the king’s throne.
Other story is about two adventure seekers on trekking mission in a mountainous region. On their trekking route, all of a sudden they were accosted by a wild bear on not very far distance.
One seeing the wild bear, one of the trekkers pulled out a pair of sports shoes from his bag and started putting on them. Seeing that, the other trekker ridiculed and said “Are you insane? The game is over for us. Do you think that you can outrun the wild bear on this mountainous terrain?”
Shoe lacing the sport shoes, the smart trekker replied “ I do not have to outrun the bear to survive albeit just need to run faster than you.”.
What is your take on tactical approach to problem solving with application of mind?

Agreed with a rider, workable though it requires appropriate strategy and foresight coupled with a collaborative environment with responsibility plus accountability in appropriate proportion that is more often missing unfortunately..!!!... |
Good points, Cherian, main reason that inflation goes on unchecked is lacunae in our economic policies, which unmindful of our actual gross industrial plus economic development status relish in aping the developed countries without weighing any pros... |

Thanks,Akshaya for referral a "Dewy tactics plus shoelaces for survival".A very beautiful piece of fable. Moral of the fable:1.Comprehend the poser and find the solution. 2.When you are on the precipice, think of the fall.
