The world has enjoyed the victory of Barrack Obama. People around the world overwhelmingly support Barrack Obama for his comeback from poverty, intelligence, ability and his quest to give clean politics. Even after becoming the President of Harvard Law Review and even after completing Law from Harvard, Barrack decided to serve public rather working for a big law firm in America to make money. What makes Barrack Obama special is that he wanted to serve public in one way or other from the beginning. After completing degree from Columbia University, he has decided to serve as a community organizer. Barrack Obama has practiced Human Rights Law immediately after completing from Harvard. He taught constitutional law and won the Illinois Senate seat. He wanted to change politics in America, fought against lobbying and wanted to give better life to all Americans. He tried to reduce the differences between blacks and whites firstly through his famous DNC speech where he says "there is no black America, there is no white America and it is United States of America".
I have followed all speeches of Barrack Obama throughout his campaign and could perceive what he thinks.
I have had the privilege of observing a great personality in India who is very similar to Barrack Obama in America and he is "Dr.Jayaprakash Narayan" of Loksatta. Dr.Jayaprakash Narayan has started an organization called "Loksatta" which fights for election reforms, eradication of corruption, right to information and good governance. Dr.Jayaprakash Narayan has served as a member in National Advisory Council before starting his own political party "Loksatta Party". He is so great in India as far as I know who is trying to clean the dust in politics and trying to give "new Politics for the new generation". Dr.Jayaprakash Narayan lived in a small village in Andhra Pradesh and pursued his primary education in Government Schools. He has pursued Medicine and a rank holder. Though he could become a great doctor and could make lot of money by establishing corporate hospitals, he has decided to be a collector to service public. In civils too he is a rank holder and he served as a collector for 15 years in Andhra Pradesh. He has exceptionally discharged his responsibilities as a collector and finally he is not satisfied with his service to the society as a collector. He has decided to start an organization which fights with corrupt politics, corruption and bad governance. Through his organization "Loksatta", Dr.Jayaprakash Narayan has fought for election reforms, right information and good governance. With his efforts only, there are citizen charters in Andhra Pradesh. Many young people has joined Loksatta and volunteered for public service through Loksatta. Despite the best work done by "Loksatta", Dr.Jayaprakash Narayan has decided that there is a limit beyond which he can't serve public effectively through an organization and finally has started a political party by name "Loksatta Party" in Andhra Pradesh. He wanted to give clean politics and striving for change in politics in Andhra Pradesh and in India. He is also striving for eradication of castism. Though, Dr.Jayaprakash Narayan belongs to a dominating community in Andhra Pradesh, he fights for cast eradication.
Dr.Jayaprakash Narayan is not for name and fame. He could have earned lot of money and secured many government positions for his ability and intelligence. But, he has decided to serve people and he literally cries while narrating about the state of a person who could not come-up in life due his background and who he is. I have had the privilege of listening to him very keenly and I have followed him ever since I was a law student. Beyond doubt, he is very similar to Barrack Obama in America in their thoughts, intellect and their desire to service public.
American society has recognized the abilities of Barrack Obama and given him a chance to service American society. Barrack Obama has introduced himself through his speech to Democratic National Convention in 2004. But, unfortunately, we are not able to use the intellect and ability of Dr.Jayaprakash Narayan. People are not recognizing that Dr.Jayaprakash Narayan is not striving for making money, earning name and getting a status. Despite many odds, Dr.Jayaprakash Narayan is hoping that his party can capture power in Andhra Pradesh by 2014 for better politics for new generation. Everybody agrees that his policies are far superior to any political party and many agree that he is Mr.clean.
Barring the backgrounds, in all other aspects, our Dr.Jayaprakash Narayan is similar to Barrack Obama in America. For the first time in Indian Politics after independence, we could see a clean politician like Dr.Jayaprakash Narayan. For the first time after independence, we are witnessing a strong voice for change in politics and better politics for new generation. If we fail to recognize and give opportunity to Dr.Jayaprakash Narayan to serve this society better, then, it appears that the change in politics in India is so remote and without the change in politics, India can never and ever become a Developed State.
Please know about our great Dr.Jayaprakash Narayan through the official website of "Loksatta Party" and listen to him through "www.youtube.com".
My intention is not to comment the press for not discharging its responsibility by being independent and for not focusing Dr.Jayaprakash Narayan as it is a bigger and serious issue to deal with, but, to reinstate that the greatness of Dr.Jayaprakash Narayan and to state beyond doubt that Dr.Jayaprakash Narayan is our "Indian Barrack Obama".
