Our ancestors strongly believed that if there is peace of mind, the body too remains in good health. It means, on one hand, in order to keep away from diseases, one has to keep his mind in peace and on the other, leading the mind to tranquility itself can quieten the body.
According to modern medical science, the reason for many haunting diseases of man is nothing but the lack of peace of mind. Devoid of rest and peace, man is exposed to all sorts of tensions and stresses. It in turn, causes many diseases in him. Ulcer is one such disease as per the inference of modern medical science. As tension increases, the production of hydro chloric acid in the body also rises to a higher level. Usually this excess quantity of acid breaks the mucus coat of the small intenstine and causes deep sore on the muscles thereof. Such sore grow into ulcers or even cancer tumors.
These diseases are called psychosomatic diseases. These are mental tensions or depression growing into ailments of the body itself.

@Vijay, so both of us are in concurrence that Ph.Ds are the need of the hour. Your concern is only of the quality - which I would also share to some extent. My wife is a Ph.D (she did it after her marriage) and so I can say that I have got first hand... |
Which eye is more important? The left eye or the right eye? There lies the answer. |
Ph.Ds have a more research-oriented bent mind which is the need of the hour. Let us not consider exceptions as the rule. |
