A civil Engineer with MBA qualification can definitely do well in the areas of planning, monitorring and coordination. The importantant aspect in constructiuon industry is plannining in the first instance of the project. may it be linearly programmed through soft wares employing basic principles of stratagic planning creation of budgets, material procurement schedules, manpower deployment and equipment deployment schemes is possible.

My dear friend, PMP is the best option than MBA as it is accepted all over the world & is of American standard.

Certainly a MBA degree will enable an Engineer to hone his skill more fruitful in his application managerially. However, it is advisable to go for M.E. also. It is very sad to have known that, Govt of Tamilnadu stopped allowance for MBA degree holders .Whereas it is continuing the allowance for master degree course(M.E./ M.Tech etc) as the Govt feels that it adds value to the profession.
