I would say there's still a way to go for Google+ as compared to facebook.
Google+ lacks some features that facebook has.Google+ does not have an own powerful branding as a social network.Its only a sub-part or sub-product of google and doesnt have a powerful social networking tag as facebook.
The only reason behind so many users of Google+ in short time span is, users getting it free who has made a gmail account and every other person is having a gmail account.so its but obvious to get registered in google+.
So google+ is far behind from Facebook for now.

Thanks,Sujatha for positioning Facebook v/s Google+.The push forward entry by business in to social networking groups is bizarre means of doing business.Now a days what we observe are advertisements,promotion,recommendations.Though,there is nothing wrong in all,but this
medium also becomes victim of excesses as physical contacts.Where we will go then?

GOOGLE HAS ALREADY TAKEN THE WORLD BY STORM BY CREATING G+ AND FACEBOOK IS LAGGING BEHIND IN THE RACE, THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE WAY FOR FACEBOOK,EXCEPT THE WAY WHAT IS MENTIONED ABOVE.


THE WEBPAGE IS GOOD FOR THE PEOPLE WHO ARE IN BUSINESS FIELD, BUT SOMEWHERE I CAN SEE THE THREAT OF SECURITY, SINCE FACEBOOK DOES HAVE GOOD SECURITY WHERE WE CAN CUSTOMIZE OUR ACCOUNT IN THE WAY WE WANT TO BE, BUT ONE THING WILL RAISE EVERYONE'S BROWS THAT, EVEN AFTER APPLYING SECURITY SETTINGS, DOES NOT SHOW ANY KIND OF AFFECT ON THE ACCOUNT, FOR EXAMPLE "HIDE PHOTOGRAPHS WITH YOUR ADDED FRIEND", BUT IT STILL ALLOWS TO VIEW IT.


FOR EXAMPLE, IF A BUSINESS MAN HAS AN ACCOUNT IN FACEBOOK, OBVIOUSLY HE WILL BE USING THIS WEB PAGE, OWING TO ITS FEATURES, BUT DOES NOT KNOW ITS DEMERITS, THE INFORMATION WILL BE QUITE VISIBLE TO MANY PEOPLE OUT THERE.  


THOSE WHO ARE FACEBOOK BUFFS MUST ENSURE ITS SECURITY SETTINGS BEFORE UPLOADING ANY DATA, BECAUSE IN ORKUT (GOOGLE's) SECURITY WORKS EXCELLENTLY, I HAVE CONFIGURED AND CHECKED WHETHER IT IS WORKING OR NOT AND FOUND WORKING VERY WELL.


GOOGLE SAYS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT, IT IS MEANT TO CONNECT PEOPLE ACROSS THE WORLD, BUT IT SHOULD NOT BE USED FOR BUSINESS.  A COMPANY SHOULD CREATE ITS OWN WEBSITE FOR BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS SEPARATELY. NO NEED TO MERGE BOTH ON THE SAME WEB SITE.


HENCE, I CONCLUDE THAT FACEBOOK's VICTORY IS A DAY DREAM.

Sujatha really the war between Facebook and Google hotting up and it is certain that Google will score over face book.

The war is between Google & Facebook now and both see Internet as a strong medium to connect with people and companies. It is noe ONE UPMANSHIP game between 2 rivals and both are trying hard to outdo one another

Every brand want No.1 position, and sometime they are getting negative result, they are doing many experiments with own brand for staying in competition. So, sometime get success or failure. Same like here, i think Face book should more focus on quality service as well as features otherwise it may be loose users. It should try to maintain the users same like company are maintain loyal customers where no other can stand.

If facebook will focus on extra features or try to add same like google feature, it may be chance of negative result. Strategy should be execute carefully and first step maintain users as well as take survey of users regularly then slowly step by step add feature and easily compete with Google..
