1. You set your own working hours - working on your tan is part of the working day.

2. Meet and greet. The phrase "I'm in a meeting" while enjoying a manicure or shopping sounds perfectly guilt-free.

3. No pet peeves. You can bring Fido, Tabby and Blackie along to work and no one can tell you not to.

4. You can choose your own job title. From managing director, CEO, general manager right down to chief happiness officer. 

5. You can sign your own salary cheque whenever you like. At the end of every week is a good idea.

6. The weekend is here. If you decide that the weekend should fall in the middle of the week, there's no one to stop you.

7. Train the trainer. You get to devise your own management strategy instead of trying to make sense of what some other guy is saying.

8. Weather or not. If the weather is good, you can step out and enjoy it without your boss giving you a dirty look.

9. Wear art thou. Your office wardrobe need not bust your bank. No one questions the boss about his attire. In fact they emulate him.

10. For a lark. Whether you are an owl or a lark, it does not matter. You go to work when you want to and you leave when you want to leave.

Yes, the advantages are many being your own boss.  Somebody need not recognise your hardwork.  Your hard work swells your pocket.   Providing employment to someone is the biggest satisfaction one can have in this.

Nice sweet and simple article. You feel realize that how the difference when we work as employee under our boss and when we work as boss ourselves, we are as head and chief of the company. Here i would like to also add the important things story is not over but story is begin when we work as boss ourselves...that important thing is "ATTITUDE".

ATTITUDE is our main boss when we work as chairman/CEO/MD/OWNER etc......story is start now.....Thnaks rohit sir for referal...

Being your boss affords opportunity to test yourself.Though Tips being humorous,it provides peep to look in to yours.Of course one is at liberty to manage things,the way ,he or she wants.

Good one. But most of these 'reasons' can be implemented only if your business is established. It will be difficult for a person owning a start-up to do any of these.....but the list is interesting.
