The thing here to look at is,  why it took so long with all the evidence at hand, it nearly took 271 days of trial, and so much of money which had to been spent for this trial to go on from the government side, and nearly 600 people used as a witness when there was a clear evidence of video showing kasab carrying out the attacks with a gun in his hand, even with such clear evidence it has taken Indian judiciary system to act on it, may be India is the only place where even with clear cut evidence the accused gets a royal treatment like this where he had been taken care of for 271 days, no wonder why crime rates in India is increasing like this. Any body can do anything, and if got caught they enjoy their stay till the court rules the verdict which will take years altogether.....so what can be done against this people....your views on this....

Kasab being the first & the only foreign terrorist, from a rival nation caught, this case attracted the world's attention. This is also a first instance where a terrorist on a suicide mission was caught in any terrorism affected nations. India being a democracy, it needs to demonstrate to the world that due process of law is administered even to a hardcore terrorist like, Kasab. Given the chocked Indian legal system with millions of uncalled for litigations, 271 Days is not such a long period. Besides, the Judge, concerned should ensure that Kasab's defense is too well heard before a final judgement is pronounced. He is not only responsible for administering the justice but also demonstrate that the accused is put to fair trial. As for the argument that UPA Govt. influencing the judgement has no merit.

I dont know whether everybody noticed how pathetic our Indian Government and our Judiciary functions...Becos if we see the recent events, if any Indian commits a mistake or crime abroad he ill be the 1st person punished severly...when Indians were killed in australia our government is still negotiating with the australian government for our safety...but this wont be the case if its vice-versa...

we are happy kasab is convicted and yet to be punished but we dunno what will happen in the near future he might be set free too or somebody might file mercy petition...for convicting it took 271 days for implementation.....!!!!!!

it is really a long time we took for punishing a red handedly caught cruel terrorist and spend crores of Rupees for special courts and security aspects to bring that criminal in the period of 271 days. But our government will never feel bad about it. Our govt is fond of wasting money like this rather than provide food for hungry people. wasting of money is in the favourite activity of our government since decades. Kasab is a person who committed this mistake at the cost of his life. so he never think about the judgement and punishment. Demonstrating as we are democratic to rest of the world should happen when there is no evidence to punish. Here the culprit himself has agreed his mistake and found guilty for that and asked to hang him our great judicial system took 271 days. It demonstrates about the down to earth procedures and systems used by our judicial authorities in solving the problems. the past days are very good where the kings used to deliver spot and correct judgement still maintains the democracy, compared with them our judicial system is waste, that is the reason lakhs of cases are pending, culprits have no fear about the law in india, every body can escape from the law if we have money and power. India is the only country where the accused persons will also become cheif minister of a state. god have to save our country.

Kasab is a explosive matter, not a human being. Punishment makes no difference to him. The trial took so many days in an attempt to know who is behind this conversion of a human being to an explosive material. There is solution to every problem and let this lengthy trial may help us to get permanent solution...

THANK YOU AYAN.
271 DAYS FOR A CRIMINAL FROM AN ALIEN COUNTRY IS EXTREMELY LOW VIS A VIS THE NUMBER OF YEARS (OR DECADES) TAKEN IN THE BRUTAL MURDER OF RAJIV GANDHI.

thanks for the referral Ayan! I Congratulate our judiciary system for such an early decision......I was expecting it to be a delayed case....but as mentioned by Mr.Prabhakar Rao it was necessary for our govt. to put a clean trial in front of all the other nations.

what i believe that waiting for death is the biggest punishment rather than killing they should.By killing at once you let him free from every sufferings.we should also place an example in front of every one that what be believe we practice also. The real punishment for these types of people is fear that they should beg for death which is finishing all of their suffering but they are also denied with that.He was on suside mission that will die and become shaheed but I believe they must not become shaheed but they should live and get all type of suffering in this world.

It is at best culmination of a process that had its share of misses.
The way media is celebrating it looks nothing beyond an act of lack of maturity.
Instead media should concentrate of causative and starkly missed preventive safety that may be a little more positive for future.

It is good that at last Kasab is found guilty of such a brutal and unpardonable crime that he had initiated against our country. No doubt it was necessary to show the world that our country is giving fair trial. As an Indian I want that he should be made to suffer as much or even more than what our Indians have suffered and it is pertinent that we should teach to every terrorist that “better beware we are not going to spare anyone. They all should be made understand of what would be the consequences if any one thinks ill of our country. It is time that we all become little patriotic and possessive of our country and at the same time it is high time we get speedy execution of the judgment. It would be even sheer wastage of time if Kasab is allowed to appeal. It is time to show that nobody can escape the punishment in the guise of appeal and delay of justice.

I absolutely agree with Mr. Prabhakar Rao that the time of 270 days is not much and the fact that the justice has come to people who have been killed. And time and again India has shown the world the path to truth and justice this time it is no different.

At the same time it is also true that sentiments have hurt and wounds are still not mended but sometimes it is the price we pay for being in a civilized society with free and fair justice.

Ayan this the fall out of true democracy. I think every thing is in order. It was pre determined the henious crime that has been committed by Ajmal Kasab should get at least 150 years in prison or death sentence.

In democracy tro reach a final conclusion one has to spend a lot of time and Money. India is no exception. If any one look back the money & time spent on some details will probably be applicable to most of us.

To my mind, everyone including Kasab knew that he will be hanged. Delaying in judgment has only added to his fears and the fears of everyone involved, which is good. Democracy shown by way of giving Kasab a fair trial is to feel proud of. No indian involved, only shows that the case has still not been throughly investigated. His helpers need to caught and tried also.

Democracy is a "Blessing in Disguise". This particular case attracted the world nations keeping a close watch on the way our democracy functions, and also our judicial system. Justice Delayed is Justice Denied! This is the only country, even today, follows Gandhiji's dictum of "Ahimsa". US after the attack on twin towers, destroyed Afghanistan under the guise of searching Bin Laden. Even UN Peach Keeping Force were made to be the mere spectator. Ours is a spiritual land, and we know for sure that human beings are only mortals, and we believe in karmic cycle. The same country in various Yugas faced a number of battles, Ramayana, Mahabharata, etc. Abhimanyu was killed in Chakra Vyuga. Karna, Dhronacharya and even Bhishma were annihilated for supporting adharma!

Why!! Test cricket is the best form of cricket and that tests the real power of a player. We should not get lost in glamor and forget the roots should we??
BJP too is forcing him to resign but he is seeking legal options to stay in. No one wants him, everyone knows how corrupt he is still he is not willing to leave! what should this attitude be called? Do you think he will resign at will ?
Yes it can be called inside information from a blog. We cannot the understand the real feeling without facing a similar situation.
