The success of the todays business is defined in terms of the accuracy, speed and action of the business processess. Particularly when we are talking of the retailing sector dealing with the cinsumer goods, accuracy plays the vital role. There should be the avaliability of right product, at right place , during the right time and at the lowest possible cost.

It is not an easy task to mantain highly efficient supply chain, which forms the backbone of every retailing process.  FMCG products form the major portion of comsumer goods, so you should have an appropriate idea of inventory management and shelf lives of waider product categries, so your stocking movements should be timely and accurate.

Nowadays due to advent of IT, the retailing in FMCG has become more responsive,  efficient, timely and secured. Moreover they can mantain supply chain efficiency by aplying the right strategy and flexible responsiveness.

Where the challenge lies for FMCG, is in avoiding goods ever entering the warehouse, by shipping out  the received  goods  on the same day of stock entrance, This will result in dramatic reduction in warehouse costs.

The effeiciency of the FMCG supplyshain is also determined by the flexibility of responsiveness. In other terms the demand is directly proportional to the factor of shelf replenishment.

The applications of right strategy and flexible responsiveness will help the FMCG retaili following ways:

  • Network management and cross docking,
  • Dynamic sourcing and routing
  • Batch-tracking

In order to mantain the effectiveness in strategies, flexibility and responsiveness there is a need of highly integrated network that is wholly customer oriented driven by values and passion of customer satisfaction and proper chain management...

yes of course at that time you plan of those things also aware  if any gap between any stock level or qty. then very  hard to control it. always open mind  work and things every stap it may be more easy to make the decision.
