Society and Social media have an important role to play in India. Especially mental health of our children.

Our doctors have learnt a set of rules or framework through which they look at each patient and categorize them as Social Anxiety, schizophrenia, paranoia, etc. I suffered from something for last five years and various doctors in various countries treated me but to no avail. Finally I came to a conclusion that I have Social Anxiety. I told my last doctor that I have Social Anxiety and asked him how to overcome it. He gave some tablets which used to give me a nice sleep. Now, I cannot sleep without those pills for having taken them for months! But the problem persists.

Now, just today I have understood that I do not have social anxiety, as doctors used to tell me with nice, beautiful English words, but I have “ATTENTION ANXIETY”.

Since childhood I was shy and intelligent, but people thought I am arrogant. Now doctors are trying to tag me with something else.

I tried to cure my problems, which otherwise are not at all problems in developed countries, through internet. And what I am getting through emails (from out of India) are the solutions which our own ancestors had in practice!

Below given is an email which emphasizes on breathing.

"While there is a plethora of information on how to fend off panic attacks, the most common concern that people have is related to how to stop an attack once one begins.
There are two essential tips that you can implement the next time you feel the onset of an attack that will help you in stopping the panic attack in its tracks. The tips provided here are easy to use and work quickly; you can anticipate near immediate results from their implementation.
Stop Your Restless, Racing Thoughts
If you are wondering how to stop a panic attack you need to first identify one of the most common symptoms associated with an attack: restless, racing thoughts. When an attack occurs, you immediately become severely stressed, frightened, terrified, and confused.
Your fear and confusion, in turn, generates thoughts of pain, suffering, and sometimes death. The latter thoughts feed into your panic and the vicious cycle begins. Thus, to stop an attack in its tracks you need to address the thoughts you are having and shut them down.
Using positive self talk, tell yourself that you are fine, that everything is fine, and repeatedly tell yourself this again and again until your frightening thoughts subside. If you continue to have frightening thoughts, attempt to distract yourself with other activities and put your full concentration on the activities you select; this will help you divert your attentions to activities that are more calming instead of feeding your mind with frenzied thoughts.
Slow Down and Breathe Deep
The second method for how to stop a panic attack is related to your breathing. Often times, during the onset of an attack, you will become so alarmed and frightened that you will begin to breathe in and out in an extremely shallow fashion.
As your fear increases, your breathing becomes faster and you eventually start to hyperventilate. During hyperventilation you do not permit your lungs to properly expand, you draw in very little oxygen, and you do not exhale enough carbon dioxide. You can begin to experience a lightheaded sensation and you may even become dizzy or confused.
By intentionally concentrating on your breathing, you can force your breathing to become more slowed and calm. In doing so, you will be able to quickly restore your body's respiratory processes to a normal state and you will help in forcing the panic attack to subside faster."

You have solution for every problem in your back yard itself. You need to look at it with your mind wide open.

Breathing problem? There is no such problem unless your nose has met with an accident or you have some problem by birth. Mucus is not at all a problem, just get rid of it and breath heavily. This is your air if you or your parents have planted a tree!
