please write u r valuable notes "how better is doing a post graduation programme rather than doin any mtech or other higher degree for better position in our careers. for an example a construction company sponsored institution called NICMAR provides two year post graduation programme since it is not providin any degree but the future over their is good bcoz good placement in top construction companies bfore the completion of u r programme thier.

I am confused. Are post graduate programs different than higher degrees? A post-graduate program should lead to a higher degree. Isn't it? I think Vinod, you are interested in comparing a professional and an academic qualification. NICMAR certification could be a professional qualification as compared to one attained from a university. A professional qualification would naturally be more relevant and suited to the requirements of a profession. That's a plus point. The minus is it doesn't help in other professions. An academic qualification such as M. Tech. may enable a person to try for a  wide variety of jobs. The minus is that a person is not ready for handling a specific professional position immediately.

i dont think its a better idea bcoz spending 2 years for a programme and investing lots of money in that its better to do any mtech or mba by which we can get a pg degree and job there after
