how bwtter is doing post graduation programme rather tahn going for higher degrees

I am confused. Are post graduate programs different than higher degrees? A post-graduate program should lead to a higher degree. Isn't it? I think Vinod, you are interested in comparing a professional and an academic qualification. NICMAR certification could be a professional qualification as compared to one attained from a university. A professional qualification would naturally be more relevant and suited to the requirements of a profession. That's a plus point. The minus is it doesn't help in other professions. An academic qualification such as M. Tech. may enable a person to try for a  wide variety of jobs. The minus is that a person is not ready for handling a specific professional position immediately.   

i dont think its a better idea bcoz spending 2 years for a programme and investing lots of money in that its better to do any mtech or mba by which we can get a pg degree and job there after
