Learning how to identify and attract your ideal clients is good and important information to discover and be clear about. But until the big step of exchanging dollars for your goods or services is taken, your ideal clients are really just ideal prospects. So the next question becomes, "How do you convert your ideal clients into actual clients?"

To answer this question, you'll need to put on your consumer hat for a moment and think about what causes you to cross that threshold. What are the necessary ingredients that will cause you to give away some of your hard-earned cash in exchange for a good or service?

Is it fair to say that you prefer to do business with people or companies that you like, that you trust and that you feel some sense of kinship with?

Then you must cultivate that same climate in your business so that it will be easy and natural for your ideal clients to cross into the land of being your actual clients.

The buzz word for this is relationship marketing and it's not just a gimmick. Consumers have more choices now than ever and if you want them to choose to do business with you, then it is up to you to initiate a relationship with them and help them feel safe and secure enough to spend their money with you.

The best way to start is by giving before you ask to receive. There are scads of ways to do this; and while there is no universal recipe for success, if you are diligent, you will find the perfect approach for your business.

Currently, the most economical and efficient method of relationship marketing is through email marketing, assuming it is used correctly. Misuse or abuse this tool and it will backfire and have negative rather than positive consequences.

The secret to implementing email marketing correctly is a well- woven tapestry of skill and nuance. But the most important things to know for starters are these:

• Use an Email Service Provider - don't try to launch or manage an email campaign from your private email address. This is one of the best ways to guarantee a backfire result due to privacy and SPAM issues.

• Be sure to provide useful information in your communications. No one wants to have their time wasted on fluff-filled content.

• Be consistent in how often you communicate with your audience. There is a delicate balance to this - too often and you'll become a pest and spoil the relationship; not often enough and they may forget who you are before you get a chance to bond.

The most important thing to remember is that you are working to build a relationship for the purpose of earning your prospects' trust. It is essentially a courting process and that takes time and patience. But if you do it well, the results will pay handsomely in the form of loyal customers who will become your best form of advertising as they sing your praises to everyone they encounter.

Nice sharing.... Yes we need to put that customer hat to understand the intricacies of it. Adding to that one should do targeted direct mailings, with strictly controlled timing, a compelling incentive & should track results. I would be interested to know on how would you do that in internet space other than email campaign....

Hi, Prospects can become only when they have the willingness to spend. For that one has to let the prospects to talk , this can be done by treating your prospects as your clients/customers.

Thank u Shyamolima, Gargi , Sunil n Ahmed for your contribution...

Best way to convert your ideal prospects into clients is by treating them as if they are you clients.

Do what you would have done if you encounter you client, you can introduce them to someone who might help them with a goal, or an invitation to an upcoming event in their field.

I think this is the best way... Don't forget to lend your ears to them and recommend solutions to their problem if any.

Hi,
One of the best way to convert the prospect into clients by Letting the prospect talk. and Your job is to listen. Don't keep on talking where you don't give a chance to your prospect. Prospects needs to clarify some issues only when he talk s and you listen then only it can be solved.

The equation is (client) = (prospect) + willingness to spend money
So, we are all here to help IF the problem is in counting the money.
