Dear Readers

I have a few suggestions to make to improve the quality of TooStep.

Debate: In the debate, only two options are given. Instead only one option is better. This helps the readers to identify several options and express their opinions.

Reserve some space to the person who started the debate or insight or Q&A, so that he can write his concluding remarks at the end of the debate. To do this, limit the number of postings to 20. This helps to close the discussion upon reaching the threshold level.

Moderator: A provision must be made to appoint a moderator, for every discussion, who goes through all the postings in that discussion and cautions the persons who cross the decency levels or making derogatory, personal attacks.

Install a system where any person getting more than 5 cautions do not qualify to be a member of Too Step and shall be removed from the membership.

Irrelevant Postings: Some irrelevant posting are appearing on Too Step. Any person posting irrelevant content may also be removed as a member after 3 such irrelevant postings.

Medals: In the medals category, a medal must be awarded for raising more than 2 flags.

Acknowledgements: Dear friends, these suggestions are not my own. These are given by the members on various occasions and in different postings. I only tried to compile them and post it here.

I shall be happy, if you can contribute your suggestions for improving the quality of TooStep.

These suggestions are very good. But, Im afraid they are not practicable. Toostep.com is a social networking site. There are no specific rules and regulations to become a member of this site. When it is free for everyone we can not control the content. Appointing a moderator on a social networking site is far from reality. Exercising self control by the members is the only answer. This is my opinion only.

I am located in Hyderabad and Too Step's HQ is in Bangalore (I thought it is Mumbai, thanks for the info). Even if it is in Hyderabad or owned by my brother, why should I be possessive? I don't understand your comments Joydeepji. This reminds me of a story, my father was telling me. Will share with Too Step community shortly.

dear murthy sir, thanks for having taken the pains to compile the suggestions. at least someone has taken the initiative to try and look for ways to make improvements. all the recommendations are necessary, practical, and will go a long way in making toostep a great place to be. matters of detail may be debated here itself before implementation. regards

I think the format of a debate is too restrictive. I would prefer a dialogue format , since one person can have opinions for and against a topic. This will allow a person to just post all his / her opinions , without bothering to take sides.

Sir, you are right and there are so many problem in participation and many member could not participate unfortunately.

Even i had asked too step FAQS before 4 month regarding option but they given feedback that there was not requirement for more option or convinency at that time. But if we send request to too step for improvement, they may be do and work on that so it can benefit to all member and participation as well as all member can share information to us.... Moderated debates with a cap on the number of arguments, along with provision for the person who initiated the debate to give his final views seem a better method.  Irrelevant postings, personal insinuations, etc. should be removed by the moderator.  I endorse Mr. Murthy's views in toto, in order to have a healthy environment.  Some of the finest suggestions go unnoticed.  There has to be a method by which a proper summary of the discussions (both pros and cons) thoroughly analysed and presented to the relevant authority for them to act or react! A group of experts whose support may be taken to analyse and summarise based on their expertise and exposure, subject-wise!  This will enhance sense of belongingness!

Murthy garu,  I have got some more.  I will compile them and post them.  Actually, I am of the opinion that the very purpose of forming TooStep is getting diluted due to the reasons you mentioned above as well as some of the rules in the point system.  I strongly believe that this site should be for sharing knowledge, opinion and views (each one has a different meaning) and the focus should remain only on that.
