Where would you like to work at, at home or an organization? what if you don't consider your organization as your family, can you contribute to its value addition?, Obviously not. The degree of your contribution organization is directly related to the intensity of committment you show towards your organization.
That is why, current HR policies are dramatically changing, companies are restructuring themselves to better suit the requirements and expectations of its employees. Those organizations which have mantained an influential organizational culture are at the zenith of success.
How to create a family like environment ina an organization is a question of great managerial complexity. Managers think that increasing the number of employees will result in better communication and cordination, relativelly higher chances of interaction and a feel good factor at workplace. But thre are also "n" number of problems associated with such practises like the workplace becomes overcrowded, supervisory becomes a challenge, and people's management bcomes difficult.
Another factor of creating a family like feeling among employees is by helping them to reduce work stress, solve family issues through Employee Assistance Programs (EAP'S). but statistics show that employees are facing less family related issues now. So again it becomes difficult to choose the best possible alternative.
So as a HR professional, what will be our alternative, will you choose among the mentioned ones or develop your own?
