I have been watching stories of monkeys and lions and the reactions to it. In some of the articles I have seen personal attacks and unworthy comments. I still feel that this site is meant for professionals to express views and members should excercise tolerance and try to understand the view point of others. As already pointed out in these columns "we normally take sides in and argument and try to win at any cost, but in a debate/discussion we respect others' views."
Since I started with monkeys and lions, let me share a story with you ! It is my habit to close any discussion with a small story.
In a forest, the Tiger is getting married. Since it is an important occassion all animals including elephants, moneys, the forest king Lion etc attended. The marriage place is full of animals. Suddenly a Cat came from nowhere and started dancing, in the middle of the gathering. It was a non stop dancing and the lion and others are feeling uncomfortable.
Noticing the discomfort of the animals, the elephant asked Money to inform the Cat to stop dancing. The monkey went to the Cat and told her in a hushed voice to stop dancing since it is Tiger's marriage and a Cat's dance looks indecent and awkward.
Hearing this the Cat replied "After all, it is my brother's marriage. Why should not I dance and who can order me to stop?" and continued dancing.
The surprised monekey said "It is a Tiger and You are a Cat.... How can he be your brother?"
The cat replied......

"I was also a Tiger before my marriage" and continued to dance.

Vinoy Ji a learned and pragmatic person should not have joined the debate on the wrong side. Let us give the fair sex, the freedom, security and support and see what happens. Nothing is going to change in a day! Let us support them for their fight in... |
In India - Religion must stay away from politics. No place for religion or religious gurus in politics. No second thought about it !! |
I am not fluent in Hindi. Being a Sanskrit student (in my child-hood days) I am able to read it and grasp the essence of it. Good and nice poem !! |
