Free Lunches for Indian Capitalists
Indian Corporates were living and thriving on ‘free lunches’, post independence. They don’t seem to have the constraints other capitalists face in other countries. Some of the visible ones are,
1) Low capital costs or low interest on capital.
2) No visible R&D costs for product development and improvements
3) No cost of living allowances to be paid to employees.
4) No compulsion to generate skilled labor by participating in academic development.
5) No marginal pricing or cost based welfare pricing
6) No fair exchange need be maintained in transactions including efficient products to be vended.
7) Low implementation of commercial law criterion in doing business.
These are some of the nearly visible sops the Indian capitalists enjoy when embarking on doing business in India which their counterparts in well developed capitalists countries don’t have. This tantamount to vandal running of commerce in a nation.
Now that the government has raised the interest rates and reserve requirement the capitalists community need not be worried so much that they have literally a free lunch provided to by the environment in everything they do.
Academia is designed in India to accommodate this free lunch policies to capitalists. New employees as well as the old ones work as if there is no constraints in their work.
So folks what do you think about this.
