Friends,
I am sure you agree that sports is an industry attracitng investment and generating substantial revenues.It has become global.The offshoot of this industry is tourism,hospitality and aviation. These sectors are the direct beneficiaries.
Besides, growing sports industry generates huge employment potential and opens new opportunities. My wife a Doctor asked me if she should have specialised in sports medicine.Women are entering sports in India in a big way.
I go with my son for his cricket coaching and there I see a completely different attitue from the parents.Here the parents are willing to stay by and wait till the children complete their quota of coaching.They do not fail to have a word or two with the coach.I see phenomenal talent in India emerging from unknown places and I am sure that is true of other countries too.
I SUGGEST THE FOLLOWING :
1.HAVE AN IPL FOREIGN VERSION AND HOST IT ABROAD EVERY SECOND YEAR
2.HAVE ONE FOR ASIA SO THAT THE FINANCIAL BENEFITS WILL GO TO PLAYERS FROM INDIA, PAKISTAN, BANGLADESH AND THESE PLAYERS WILL GET TO SHOWCASE THEIR TALENTS AND IT CAN BE SEEN IN THE TELEVISION.
3.THE REVENUES GENERATED CAN BE USED TO SET UP SPORTS ACADEMIES, DONATIONS ETC.
4.ALSO, IPL IS DONATING 200,000 SOUTH AFRICAN RANDS TO TWO SCHOOLS AT THE END OF EVERY MATCH.THE CHEERS IN THE EYES OF THE STUDENTS AND SCHOOL MANAGERS WHEN THEY RECEIVE THE MONEY, SWELLS YOUR HEART AND BRINGS TEARS IN YOUR EYES .
5.OH BOY ! MR.MODI YOU ARE A WONDER KID. I FERVENTLY HOPE THAT THE ALLEGATIONS AGAINST YOU ARE NOT TRUE SO THAT YOU GET RECOGNISED AND "HONOURED".
6. I ALGO GET NEGATIVE OPINIONS FROM MY GOOD FRIENDS THAT PEOPLE ARE WASTING TIME WATCHING THE MATCHES ETC. AND I AM NOT AFFENDED BY THAT AS I AM SURE THEY WOULD SOON SEE THE POSITIVE SIDE TOO (AS THESE PEOPLE ARE VERY FINE PROFESSIONALS).
YOU WOULD DO GOOD BY PROMOTING SPORT AS THIS SECTOR WOULD SOON EMERGE AS AN EMPLOYER AMONG THE YOUTH OF ASIA AND SENIOR PROS PARTICULARLY FROM THE RURUAL REGION.
IF YOU DONT AGREE WITH ME, DID YOU SEE YESTERDAY'S MATCH, WHERE A NEW TALENT BY NAME "MANISH PANDEY" MADE A CRACKING CENTURY, THE FIRST BY AN INDIAN IN THE IPL CIRCUIT SO FAR.
